HIC KitchenAnti-Freeze Ice Cream and Frozen Dessert Scoop, Non Toxic and Self Defrosting

Just bought this and it is awesome! Stainless steel and dishwasher safe. Got it for my mom who is getting older and doesn't have the same wrist strength. She'd always used a large regular spoon and that just isn't working anymore for her. The first time this slid into a new gallon of ice cream it melted the surrounding ice cream into liquid. We looked at each other like it was magic. I think it has something to do with the surface area of the spade. We tried it on hard ice cream a week later and it cut through it better than any scoop I've owned. The length gives you more leverage so it's easier on your wrist. It was perfect for my mom. I've been so impressed with this product that I plan on buying one for every member of my family. Being able to see my mom not struggle with ice cream in her old age made this thing worth every penny and then some. The design, the materials, and how it performs is outstanding. Can HIGHLY recommend.Edit: Bought this in 2015 and now it's 2024. It still looks brand new, not a single hint of rust anywhere. It's hands down the best ice cream scoop I've ever owned. 9 years later I still think this thing is infused with some kind of magic.

This ice cream scooper is excellent. With the fluid inside it you can warm it up to make it scoop easier. Just awesome!

Does what it’s supposed to!

I’ve wanted one of these for a while now and I’m very happy with my purchase. It cuts through firm ice cream with no problem! Love it!

This tool is built to last. The blade is stamped from heavy duty 14 gauge (0.0747") stainless. The rugged plastic handle on the one I received was flawless. This scoop will last several lifetimes.I did find two problems with the blade: 1) The edges (corners) of the die cut blade were very sharp. 2) The metal is thick and minimally sharpened at the cutting edge. The tool required a lot of force in hard frozen ice cream compared to my vintage Sealtest spade which is made from much thinner aluminum.I broke the sharp edges with 150 grit sand paper and sharpened the cutting edge with a smooth bastard file (you don't wan't a knife edge here, just about half as thick), then smoothed the edges with 400 wet or dry sandpaper used wet. I am very satisfied with the result, and haven't deducted a star because I'm anal about my tools and at the price this is an outstanding value.

This is great. Scoops ice cream with no issues.Only problem is forgetting not to put it in dishwasher.

Do not make the mistake and put this in the dishwasher. The entire finish will be removed and it turns black. Not worth the purchase.

Não tenho hábito de comentar as compras que faço, mais por gostar muito de comprar pela internet e sempre olhar os comentários antes de efetuar qualquer compra, venho retribuir a minha opinião. O produto em si é muito bom e aparenta ser de qualidade, trabalho com açaí, sorvete e gelatos em geral. A minha colher anterior era bem parecida com está, porém depois de um tempo de uso começou a descascar,por este motivo fiz a troca.Sobre a colher nova, ela atendeu as minhas necessidades sem grandes promessas como vi no anúncio. Mais para o fator principalmente que é pegar o sorvete com precisão isso ela faz.

No complaints, it's sturdy and works well. Just make sure don't put it into your dishwasher.
