If you squirt a little on the pin hole will it seal it or must it need the patch over top of it.** A: It does not need a patch for a pin hole. Just be sure to let a little of the pressure off then use the liquid PVC and let it sit. The next day you can put the pressure back and it should hold just fine. Most likely it will because most of SUPs are made of pvc. I’d recommend you double check and make sure your SUP is pvc or vinyl-based fabric. Put a 2” gash in my daughter’s paddle board and couldn’t afford to replace it so gave it a shot. It came with enough material I did it twice waiting a day in between to make sure it was dry. The directions said you don’t need the mesh reinforcement unless it’s over 2”, but since it was a round hole not a tear I used it. I followed others suggestions and used the gel first, then laid on the mesh then applied more gel over the mesh. I did not mess with it and allowed the gel to level out on its own. I also let it cure for a week before attempting to inflate the boat.
