I never knew this existed. We have a one acre lot and lots of oak trees, which can make walking across the yard - well, a bit crunchy. The Garden Weasel Nut Gatherer is easy to use and fun. It is light weight but feels sturdy and well-made. It is easier and quicker in shorter grass without leaves and twigs, but it picks up the acorns and not the leaves and twigs. Just press lightly and walk at a moderate pace. Take a box or bag with you to empty the Gatherer into. Just spread the wires a bit and the nuts fall out. Garden Weasel is a brand I recognize and this item is a good value. You might consider contacting your Division of Forestry - in my area they are asking for acorns and possibly other tree seeds to plant. After you gather your acorns you can celebrate with a chocolate kisses acorn treat - you have my permission.

OMG! I want more acorns to fall in my yard. This thing is so easy to use and fun to pick up acorns. I wish there was an easier way to empty it. But I used it to pick up the handful if acorns left in my yard and then dumped them out to use the tool again. You will be shocked on how well it works. It seems to work the best when you keep it on your side instead of out in front of you. Pretty effortless when you have it on the side.

This thing is awesome I got it to pick up acorns, works just how I hoped it would, I have found if you push down while rolling it picks up a little better great product

I received a USED nut gatherer. I was suspicious when I received it because the label looked like it had been sent to someone else and returned. It had dirt and a small amount of rust on it. The company should be ashamed of sending out used merchandise claiming it is new. As I didn't have time to wait to return and receive a new one, I tried it out. It does pick up small acorns but it is not as easy as they make it look. I had to run it over small acorns several times for it to pick them up. However, it is easier than picking them up by hand and I'm sure my landscaper will be thrilled that his mower doesn't hit them anymore. The design would be improved if there was an easy way to empty it. You have to pull the rungs apart to dump the acorns. This might be difficult for someone with arthritis or limited strength. I would have given 4 stars if I had received a NEW one. It does work which is why I gave it 3. My neighbor gave his to his two young sons (5 and 7) and they had a ball rolling around the lawn picking up acorns. It doesn't require a lot of strength to operate picking up the nuts.

This item works better than I anticipated. It is also has a robust build and appears that it will last a long time. The only thing I would change would be a longer handle option as I am 6 feet tall.

This tool works great to collect acorns from my new growing grass My landscaper told me they aren’t good for the grass and are acidic, so to get them off the ground. Unfortunately, the grass is under a big oak tree. This device picks up the acorns easily snd is almost fun! I take the buckets of acorns into the woods for the deer.

I never thought I would be this excited about an acorn collector!! I have spent hours a day trying to pick up all the acorns in our yard. I thought there had to be a better way and found this great contraption! Seriously, you roll it over your yard and the acorns magically get collected. Simply spread the wires to empty it. I thought it was pricey, when I ordered it but it was worth every cent! Huge time saver.

It’s challenging to empty the cage. I bought the small cage, but should have picked the large cage. It didn’t work well on my lawn to pick up hickory nuts because the nuts push into the soil. It did work good on my driveway to pick up hickory nuts.

this works wonderfully just walk around yard while rolling it. Picks up the acorns no problem.

Very well made. Super pleased. Looking forward to the fall this year. We’ve collected and planted over 30,000 acorns so far but this will be so much better!

I have alot of oak trees. Acorns everywhere. This works well and saves my back. Would be nice if it had a better way to empty it. Would be a big improvement. I pick up hundreds of acorns.

This nut gatherer works like a charm. Just roll over acorns in your driveway, garden, walkways, etc. Add a little pressure to pick up acorn tops or pieces. Empty basket when full! Easy to use and store. Well worth the money.
