It's pretty neat. It perfectly matched some wood furniture in my home that I was printing some parts to hide various wires for plant lights so everything wouldn't look ugly. And it was great in terms of matching the color and having a wood-like texture. My initial print came out pretty well. More than once when the system tried to reload the filament, it caused the filament to break off in the extruder. My hypothesis is that the actual wood fibers cause this filament to have a rougher texture that these systems are not used to. And the results look much cooler than if I was just using brown filament. The color variation and grain effect are some of the best I’ve seen in a wood PLA. AMOLEN did a great job with the tone and consistency. A couple of pointers for anyone new to this filament: • This is a low‑temperature wood PLA. AMOLEN’s listed max of 205°C is correct. • It runs best at 200–205°C — going hotter will cause the binder to scorch. • Use a 0.6 mm nozzle. A 0.4 mm will clog because the wood particles are larger than other AMOLEN woods. • Keep speeds around 35–40 mm/s for the cleanest flow. • Let the hotend cool fully between swaps and purge with standard PLA afterward. Ask me how I know? I burned out a .4 nozzle and had to replace it after MANY clogs and failed prints. Once dialed in? Golden and smooth. I printed on the Bambu X1 Carbon with both a .4 and .6 hardened hot ends. The pic shows the successful and the failed prints for reference. Some suggestions that might help: 1) Slow the speeds down so the filament has time to melt. 2) do not use ANYTHING metal on the tip to remove the starting filament. I used to use tweezers and found I would have problems with clogging. Now I use a piece of filament to remove the “drip” and haven’t had any more problems. If you think about it, the opening is very small and tapered. That means at the very tip it is extremely thin and anything thicker and metal will deform the opening. Using a piece of filament, the worst that could happen is the piece melts, but it won’t deform the opening. You probably need to replace the tip. **Q: Is the bonze filament just bronze colored pla or is it bronze infused pla?** A: Just colored **Q: Is this sandable?** A: I do not believe there is wood in this filament you would be sanding the PLA material which I have done with the diamond impregnated sponge pads with water. **Q: Are the bags reusable? i've used one so far. it's pretty good, but i would like to know if i can reuse the bag once i opened it back up?** A: I don't see how they would be reusable.
