Makes a good spare or everyday use. Nice quality everything worked post programing.

Buyer beware. There was no chip in the key. The remote programmed great but I had to put my own chip in the key.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered the 315 MHz version but when it arrived I was unable to program it to unlock my car. Looking at reviews I see other people might have the same problem but may not be able to diagnose why. I checked the battery and it was 3.3V. I used my SDR to check if it was transmitting. Sure enough it was transmitting, but at 433 MHz, not 315. I was able to switch the frequency of the key’s transmitter using the instructions below:TLDR:If you can’t program it try this:1. Press and hold the unlock button (arrow).2. Press and release the trunk button 5 times.3. Release the unlock button.4. Now try programming in your car.To program the remote to your car:1. Sit in the car with all doors closed.2. Put a functioning key into the ignition.3. Turn the key to the on position and then back off. Some people say you need to do this 5 times.4. Take the key out of the ignition.5. On the new key press and hold the unlock button (arrow).6. Press and release the lock button (BMW logo) 3 times.7. The locks in the car should move and you should now be able to use the remote to lock, unlock, and open your trunk.

A few years back my key remote stopped working for my 02 330ci. A little searching led me to buy a replacement battery, pry open the OEM key and replace the battery and I was back in business. Recently it happened again, but this time, a new battery did not fix it. I recently came across this option and thought it would solve everything, missed the comments saying that the key will not turn on the car. I programmed the remote and it worked easily, using the directions in the comments (push and hold this button, then that button, sit in the car, etc.). THEN, I realized the replacement key would not turn the car on. I figured this was still better than no remote. BUT, started looking for other options and came across a comment that said to start the car with the working key, turn off then immediately use the new key, and guess what, it will start the car. Unfortunately, the next time I tried 30 minutes later, it wouldn't work. Hopefully I'll come across a way to make the new key permanently functional.

Double check the year and make of your BMW. If you have a immobilization chip in your original key. This is NOT the key for you.

Works Beautifully easy to program yourself

Didn't come with a chip inside. My window for return is closed unfortunately.Also doesn't come with no logo like in pictures. Choose a different option don't waist your money.
