This is life changing!
My cat was ripping the crap out of the carpeting on my stairs. Nothing deterred her; neither spraying her with water or spraying two different kinds of cat deterrent sprays on the carpet. I needed something so I thought I would try this. These plastic sheets are the only thing that have saved my carpeting. She doesn't knead the carpets in the bedrooms and I don't have a problem with her ruining the furniture. Each stair needs three sheets. The backs have adhesive so each sheet, when overlapped, sticks to the prior one that was laid down. The tacks are easy to use. They are corkscrew so you stick the end in and turn it until it is fully inserted. I don't know how long I will need to keep these in place. I am hoping that one day Lira will be broken of this awful habit and I can remove them. This product deserves ten stars!

Why didn't I get these years ago?
They are exactly as they say....I have a 13 year old cat who has ruined our furniture for 13 years. Recently I got two new side chairs and she started right in. When I put this product on it was clear and very sticky. But watching her one paw touch the sticky material was worth the price. She hated it!!!!The next time she tried she adjusted her paw but it must of been higher than she liked. She's using her cat tree scratching portion now. If she was originally scratching to get my attention as I was usually in chair then I think she's now nipping me to remind me to feed her. Cats!!!??? I'm leaving on until I notice them....??

Sticky but not sticky?
This product has worked well for me for over a year. Unfortunately, I had a piece not want to stick to the furniture and it fell off onto my hardwood floor. It happened sometime over night and I noticed it in the morning. It stuck so well to the floor that it pulled off some of the finish and now there’s a weird square spot in the middle of my floor. It’s probably a fluke that it happened, but just be aware that it might not stick to your couch very well?

Is sticky. Double sided tape. Cat hates it. Read!
This product is effective against cat scratching. It IS DOUBLE SIDED sticky tape essentially. As our couch that my cat likes to scratch is in a high traffic area, every time we round the corner of the couch it feels off on our clothes and we have to stop and put it back on. After around a month this is what the tape looks like. Also a note to anyone putting it around wallpapered areas, DON’T. It static cleaned over to my wallpaper and I tried to get it before it stuck for good but it was too late! It ripped my wallpaper!

Love it.
Easy cut and fir application. It worked as it was supposed to. Use as directed and avoid fabrics that the manufacturer recommends to avoid. I removed one panel to test my cats relearned boundaries and some loose fibers came off from the upholstery and did not damage the upholstery in any way.Kitties do not like sticky paws, so this was a great way to set that boundary with my cat. As experts recommend, while I used this product to protect the furniture I also purchased and placed a tall scratch post/ cat tree next to the arm of the sofa so the kitty could still scratch and stretch in an appropriate way.

Product has changed--now it's terrible!
I purchased this 2 years ago and selected "buy again" on Amazon, not even considering that they would've changed the entire product but kept it under the same exact URL listing. The old version used to be very sticky double sided tape sheets. Now it's a smaller, hard plastic sheet, with much weaker adhesive on one side only. They included screws that you're supposed to you to adhere it to your couch. I'm absolutely returning, the entire purpose of buying this was to avoid cat claws puncturing the couch so needing to screw something into it defeats that purchase.

Kittens rule
OUR 6 MO. OLD KITTEN STARTED CHEWING THEM. Apparently tasty. She ignored the stickyness, so not a good solution- back to a simple water spray to discourage the beast. This is not to say that the product did not work as advertised, but, simply put--cats are unique! the older cat did not put a paw on the sticky surface- she's smart!

Buy this now and save your furniture
This product really works! I've tried everything, and have bought many different scratching posts to no avail. What comes close to working is the Feliway but at 30 bucks a bottle that gets expensive. Sadly my two cats have destroyed a chair and now working on the sofa. I saved the old chair for a scratching post, got a new chair and they haven't touched the new chair or sofa with this product on. It isn't really noticeable and looks so much better than clawed up furniture. Yay! I highly recommend this product!
