I was so excited to use this for my baby although we had experienced a house fire and I didn't ever get to use. I haven't got to reorder and Amazon of course stated it was out of time for replacing which saddens me but it'd be an amazing keepsake for your little one.

Quick and easy, color change is the best. You know when the mold is ready to mold and when to remove hand or foot. I used my own containers since I didn't feel they were deep enough to make a mold for toddlers size but good for infants

Yes yes yes. You need to get this kit. It’s worth every penny. If you love keepsakes this is for you!!! The quality is amazing. We did this for my newborn and toddler and they both came out amazing. These will now be forever charitable treasures we have. It’s kind of cold so just make sure you mix with warm water so your baby doesn’t get upset. Overall this is a yes definitely buy

Out of the whole kit I was only able to get one mold of my newborns foot and one of his hand. You need to work quickly once the material is ready for baby and one second makes all the difference. If you use warmer water the product will set quicker, so be careful. At first the color will be bright purple and when it’s ready to use it will turn white. Warning, the casting material will turn rubbery extremely fast with little cues from how dense it is to stir. I thought for sure that it would get thicker and harder to mix as it got close to setting with time for me to spare to get baby to it but it happens in an instant. If you wait too long it will turn to rubber fast and the mold will not allow you to put baby’s hand or foot into it. I did not use the bum cast, did not even realize it was part of the kit so I had extra to work with. If you have a newborn just use a smaller container and portion your casting materials in half to get another mold for practice. Also, try to do this when baby is asleep and with the assistance of someone to hold baby and another to hold the mold.

This was very challenging with the first attempt. I tried with the help of my husband and my mom and with the three man team we still had a messy baby and a ruined mold. HOWEVER… I am stubborn and refused to let that be the end. We tried again the next day and here is what I learned: feed the baby and put the baby to DEEP sleep. My son’s arms were limp and dangling before I even attempted. The instructions say to use room temp water because warm water makes the mold harden quicker, don’t listen. You want it to be quick and the warm water keeps the baby calm and asleep (or at least did for me). Definitely buy the pack with 5 casts. We used the booty cast to redo the first hand attempt and you might need a redo also. We also thought we messed up all 5 but were pleasantly surprised when we revealed them after setting the stone mixture. Overall this was fun and user friendly AFTER a little practice and patience!

This it’s pretty pricy I was missing a bag of mold or just had a extra bag of the cement stuff doesn’t come with certain things like a cup to make the mold for the hand had to use my own plastic cup mixture also dried to fast on my first try and on some mold the tips of the toes or fifers were incomplete had to try multiple times the pant brush sucks and the paint color not gold it’s a translucent more yellow type color

The functionality of this product is perfect, I used it for my babies and it was quick and easy to do. As long as they didn’t wiggle to much, the color doesn’t dry white, the after product is light weight. And still durable and holding up years later. It’s definitely worth your money. I will always choose this brand.

This product did not work, at all! Bought the 5 casting kit and didn’t even make it through step one! Both the hand and foot molds did not come out, product stuck to my baby’s skin and when we pulled it out after it had set it came up with her hands and feet. I didn’t realize this was the same brand as a previous mold I’d bought to do my dogs paw before she passed away which hadn’t worked either! I’ve done two other previous hand castings with a different brand and had no issue I just wanted to use this brand as it was supposed To be wiggle safe for babies and hypo product. Wasted $50 on a garbage product save your money and use a different brand

Low quality for the amount I paid. $15 from local store had better guidelines. Not even single one came out properly out of 5 casting. For some reason moulding powder doesn’t mix well and leaves lumps and bubbles.

Such an amazing thing to make with a young infant. Easy instructions, just ensure it doesn't have lumps and even a wiggly baby should get a nice mould. Enough material to get multiple attempts. Highly recommend Luna Bean.

To use the containers provided, you definitely need to use 2x the molding mix so the hands/feet are not hitting the sides or bottom, would suggest using a taller, less round, container to get more depth. Was able to use 1 cement mix for 2 molds and still had some left over 👍🏼

Can not wait to mould my childrens hands and feet but unfortunately the box was missing 1x baby foot alginate molding powder :(
