I rated these 5 stars based on another pair bought for our older child. The younger child doesn't care for them, not sure exactly why. He will wear them if you tell him he can go play in water and they can get wet, but he'll take them off after a short while. Not sure if he doesn't care for wearing shoes without socks (all he's known until now), or if they're uncomfortable for his little foot - which is still "pudgy" from baby fat and hasn't narrowed or flattened yet. His older brother, who is 3 1/2, loves them and his foot isn't as "pudgy" anymore. For the record, he HATES actual water shoes, but he does tolerate these for a while and he doesn't complain as we put them on. As a mom, I love them for the boys and think he'll grow to like them too as his foot changes. I haven't seen any marks from rubbing on either child and anticipate as summer goes on they'll both love them.I purchased the size they are currently wearing and they fit the same if wearing socks, so without socks they're a little loose but still don't fall off. Secure enough to wear barefoot yet roomy enough to wear with socks.Update**About a month after wearing these, I'm ordering another pair. I'm not sure if his foot grew that fast or sizing is more accurate than I thought. I had ordered the precise size my 3 1/2 yo was wearing a month ago, but they're already too small. HOWEVER, he loves these water shoes, and as previously reviewed, he does NOT like water shoes at all. After going back to regular water shoes, he begged me to order him another pair of these in a bigger size. His daycare/preschool teacher endorses them as well, telling me that they're perfect even for him running on the playground, through water, and stay on all the time.

I bought these as pool/water/beach shoes for my 12-month-old after seeing his friend in a pair. They are adorable and very good quality. He wears a 5.5 and these were a 5 and big on him which was ok as he can grow into them and get use throughout the Summer. However, they are not good for walking, maybe because they are a bit wide. His foot buckles to the side if he tries to walk but they are great for standing and splashing around.

I loved these shoes. Especially during the summer. He could get them wet in the splash pad but then go play on the playground with closed toed shoes.

Like other Toms that run big, these run even bigger. My son is in a 6 and these were unwearable they were so big and the size 5's were so small he couldn't get his foot in. Compared side by side with Tiny Toms classics, they are visibly larger. Unfortunately, I had to return them because this is really a summer shoe and he won't grow into them in time he was super bummed too). I gave them 4 stars because they are really cute and ideal. We love Toms shoes but these just didn't work out for us.

Would rate 5 stars but our kids feet get super sweaty in them. Luckily they're easier to soap up and wash.

The BEST play shoes for my 16 month old son! He doesn't fuss putting them on and he is comfortable all day. They are great for playing in the sandbox to looking cool on the go!

Perfect for my Toddler during the summer! We can go from the pool to the grocery store and back to the pool in these.

These are now my son's favorite shoes!
