These inserts contain 5 layers of ultra absorbing material. The charcoal bamboo fleece is naturally anti-microbial, ant-bacterial, and anti-fungal which help prevent odors and rash on your baby's bottom. The three inner microfiber layers quickly and effectively lock in lots of liquids keeping baby dry and happy. Each insert is approximately 12 by 5 inches in size making it a great fit for most AI2 or pocket diaper systems. CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Diaper inserts should be prepped before use to maximize their absorbency. Prep the inserts by washing them at least 4 times using detergent in warm water by themselves before use. Dry in between washes. Line dry outside if possible or you may use a dryer on low setting. Maximum absorbency will be reached after 5-6 washes. During regular use, remove solids, separate inserts from covers, rinse cold, and wash warm. Apply an extra rinse or short cycle with no detergent if needed to remove any lingering detergent or heavy odors. NOTE: the inserts should be washed in warm water not to exceed 86 degrees F/ 30 degrees C and always use cloth diaper appropriate detergent.
