GigasetC575A Trio [German Version]

I should have read the previous reviews before ordering! This version is totally unusable for use in the UK,The power units have 2 pin European power plugs and the phone line connector is not the standard BT style and will not plug into the UK standard phone socket. To add insult to injury the instructions are all in German only.As others have stated a total waste of time and should not be offered to UK customers unless they intend to take it to and use it on the continent.

Came with euro mains plugs, not UK - sent them back

Have returned this item. The instruction book was in German only. I downloaded the English version and continued only to find that the sockets were continental 2 pin and no UK adaptors. Having found some adaptors at home I then discovered that the lead which plugs into the telephone wall socket did not fit UK phone socket boxes. There was no mention of this in the product description. I have returned the item

The phones are of good quality but are aimed at the German market. Instructions are in German, plugs are European and phone connecting wire is German. However one can easily find English instructions on internet (better than miniature typeface booklet), power adaptors are cheap and existing connection wire can be used as base station end has same plug. Why are these £40-£50 cheaper than the ones for the market? When I was working in Germany some years ago the UK was often referred to as Treasure. Well done Amazon for obtaining this cheaper version.

Ok this Siemens Gigaset was German spec, but it's easily changed to English settings. Please remember not only language but you need the recording as this is set to German. I was lucky as I was changing form an older version Siemens G300 to the newer G575A so I had the UK plug that fitted the base station. To convert the Euro power plugs I bought pack of three Euro to UK plugs which was less than £12. Having the old C300 I connected one handset to the new base and managed to transfer the existing directory to the new handset. Note that the new C575A can contain first and surname just like a mobile so you can store in which order. In all I would say I saved in the region of £43 with a three year accidental insurance.

Product not suitable for UK, an annoying waste of time.

phones are of good quality nice size screen the only problem is there is no adapter for them the plugs are two pin.
