It's small. The surface of the tenderizer is maybe a little over a square inch. Still, that's perfect for my usage! Easy to store away when not using it, and it feels heavy and sturdy.

Great looking piece of kit. Got a fair bit of weight to it despite its size and THAT Is what we will discuss next. It is the smallest meat tenderizer I have ever seen. The last time I saw a hammer-type implement as small as this, it was being held by a little guy with pointy ears sitting on a toadstool presumably waiting to batter the crap out of any goldfish he’d caught. I suppose It could also be used to check the nerve reflexes on the knees of a parrot by a qualified vet with very small hands. It’s a very smart looking tool I have to admit so I will hold judgement on whether it does the job for which it was intended. I think that it will probably do the job…as long as the steak in question has been produced from the loin area an anorexic kitten and is no longer than two inches.

This is a great kitchen tool. It is solidly made and the handle has a great grip. It is small enough for a kitchen drawer and not too heavy to use. Best of all you can put it in the dishwasher. Love it.

Nice heavy mallet for tenderizing! This should last me a lifetime, but if I ever to replace it, I'd buy this one again.
