The pickup is very powerful and produces a clear and heavy sound with my Marshall amp. I am very happy with this product. Review: Great high-output single coil pickup for my Partscaster - I was looking to replace some cheaper pickups with one that has a bit more oomph, and this is it. I got mine at a pretty great price (I think $65?), so it's right there at the edge of being budget friendly. I placed mine in the neck position and it's been great. In my guitar, I have HHS setup (where this Seymour Duncan is the S), and have 500k pots with a .047u cap, and the Seymour Duncan really shines. I'm super happy to finally have a premium pickup that I can show off and get great sound, and it was at a great price. The official product description said "fat punchy sound", and that's accurate. Seymour Duncan makes a JH Signature pickup set. Increase the output at least double fold. And retain the sought after sound of the instrument. I have purchased 4 of these for both of my Strats. (neck and bridge). ALSO !
