This is one of the better sounding Bluetooth adapters I have tried and I like that you have to pair with it by pushing the button so my neighbors can't hijack my speakers but my issue with it is that when I leave it's range, it shuts off so when I come back it's no longer working and I have to physically go over and turn it on and I do not want to have to do that, I'm using it on a stereo system and it's plugged in all the time I don't have to worry about the battery going dead I just wish there was a way that it would just stay on. Also it just randomly turns off after a while so I can't use it for my alarm through the stereo. I haven't been able to find one that pairs and stays on. When I'm in the range of the speakers I want it to be connected on its own. I have had several others that stay on but those ones don't pair, so my neighbors keep hijacking my speakers and playing loud music when I don't want it to. This one prevents that but I'm sick of having to walk over and turn it on several times a day and i want to be able to use the alarm on my phone, this is like the 25th amazon Bluetooth receiver I've bought with no luck with finding one that does everything i want and sound good. I have a mii bit it makes all kinds of racket turning on and off between sounds this sound better

Words cannot describe how good this Bluetooth device sounds. In one word perfect.What some people do not realize is that this bluetooth device is not receiving a analog signal through the air, but rather it is receiving a pure digital signal so it is just like a direct digital audio connection to an audio device. Hence therefore it is not losing any audio quality like a bluetooth device of yesteryears. The digital audio conversion takes place wireless inside this device then it is converted back out to its' analog audio output. The digital to analog conversion is flawless. It sounds just like the original source and since it is a digital audio signal it loses nothing through the air waves. And if hooked up to a good pair of headphones or loudspeakers, then this thing is ear fantastic sounding.This Gogroove has enough punch and loudness to cleanly drive any large headphones. Also it is beyond adequate for being an excellent audio preamp for a good stereo system with loudspeakers.I noticed right away that this Bluetooth receiver sounds better than most tablet PC headphones direct output ! And better sounding than most high end sound cards on music workstation PC's.I master audio for a living and this is the best sounding Bluetooth receiver I've heard, in fact it will make any tablet or PC sound even better than stock because it has better quality digital audio converters in this tiny little device.I have tested this against good headphone pre-amps and this little device drives all headphones with ease with plenty of volume and punch. The quality of the bass, mid-range and high end is right up there with the best direct connection headphone pre-amps made. That is allot going for it for such a small device.This device sounds this good, I think it is also because of the high quality lithium battery they put inside this receiver, it gives it plenty of audio volume and 15 hour battery life to boot !A brilliant sounding device and well worth it so please Do not hesitate to buy this little wireless marvel.The only issue I see and others mention it here, sometimes it needs to be turned back on if idle for awhile. Not a big deal though to switch it back on and then pair it to your Bluetooth transmitter. But I have to agree that bluetooth manufactures have to come up with a more universal way to automatically turn on and connect from both transmitter to receiver. There has got to be a way more easy and reliable way to do it automatically without the tedious bluetooth reconnect procedure and without constantly having to re-turn on a device and or have to search and then re-pair to device. Bluetooth connections should be a brainless auto event.A very versatile and much needed wireless audio device especially if you are into good sounding audio for your car, home, studio, and good for traveling with headphones.

► These are great when they work. I have been troubled by units that fail after a few weeks, or months. The recent replacement device arrived DOA.When I recently ordered a: ◙ -- "GOgroove BlueGATE RCV Bluetooth Audio Receiver...", the new device looked to me like a previously used unit. It would not accept ANY charging; I tried different power supplies, different cables, that work on my other two Fire Tablets, I use and own three (3) Amazon Fire Tablets all running the latest OS and one application all three tablets use for example is a pair of "Skullcandy•Aviator•Headphones" that have a detachable cable and a female plug that the receiver plugs into.I am extremely hearing impaired, this combination (Makes HQ wireless headphones that work) great, plenty of volume and high-fidelity -- it sounds great usually. The week link in this kind of application, the unit must be charged via the micro USB connector; this can be bent, distorted from the normal useage --- ongoing-- plugging in-and-out -- in-and-out -- in-and-out of this charging circuit. The battery degrades with time, the charge time slows down, and then after some time the battery charging circuits do not work right. Then the battery will not be able to hold any charge.► In the "Future" I would like to see these this unit charge with a " no-contact 5.0 VDC proximity device charger", that would prolong the life of the micro USB receptacle, and the whole unit.

I recently bought a 2014 BMW 3 series and was sorely disappointed that the bluetooth only worked with call and not not music or audiobooks on my iPhone. It came with an adaptor that I had to plug my iPhone into that was like 4" long and plugged into the console. It was impossible to not contort my arm into an awkward position to change the song or to answer a call privately when I didn't want it on my speakers...not safe! On a side note note, BMW you need to get it together. My past two Ford Fusion company cards had this, I would expect for a luxury vehicle that this would be standard! Anyways, the receiver works great. I keep it plugged in all the time. My only two complaints is that I have to turn it on every single time, even if I leave my phone in the car when I run into somewhere for less than a minute. It's just a button to push but it would be nice if I didn't have to do that since it's inside my console. It does pair though, I don't have to repair it every time. Also there is a loss of sound quality. I'm not an audiophile so it's not a huge deal to me but it is noticeable from switching to the radio. Overall a good, inexpensive solution. Fix these two issues and I would give it 5 stars.

Bought this to make my headphones wireless, works for about 2 1/2 days at work (18-19hours) bit longer then i was anticipating. Tempted to buy another for the rest on the week. Only downside is the beeps every 20 seconds, the 10 minutes before it actually dies. Overall i would definantly suggest this bluetooth receiver.

Wouldn't pair with Garmin Zumo 660 - no problem with refund
