Progresso Toppers, Broccoli Cheese Soup, 12.2 ounces (Pack of 6)

I've gone through 1 year+ of the pandemic alternating between cooking elaborate meals for weeks on end and having no energy to do anything but stick something in the microwave for every meal. Being in such a latter phase now, this is a pretty decent very-lazy meal.It's not a salt bomb like a lot of microwave soups, just having enough to be savory. The cream and potato flavor are as one would expect. I'd rather have some other topping than the greasy fried onion slivers, but they're not bad in themselves (they do cause flatulence).One note: it says to just pull back the plastic slightly and cook it in the microwave for 90 seconds. About half the time I cook one, I guess a bubble forms under the cream, because it then pops up and splatters the microwave interior. One time, the whole thing fell on its side and dumped out half the contents. I recommend running it half-power for longer, or else covering it with a paper towel and putting it in a bowl while it cooks.

This is my favorite soup with Progresso's split pea and ham coming in second. They're both so good! But lately, very expensive, $3-$4/can. Since I don't really need a whole can these are just right!After reading the reviews I do pour the soup into a bowl to microwave. And, instead of topping it with the onion strings I nibble on them later. It works for me!

What I most like about this soup is the ease of preparation. It is ready to eat in a short time.Furthermore the oyster crackers are very tasty. I have ordered them a couple of times for myself and I also ordered them for a friend of mine.She liked it a lot and is planning to order it again herself.

Crackers tasted stale old and had no flavor the and soup keep making weird popping sounds like it was going to explode in the microwave and one time it did soup everywhere

Not very tasty. No cheese flavor at all. Unappetizing grayish color also. And no chunks of broccoli. Very disappointed and surprised as Progresso soups are usually delicious.

Really hits the spot when you wants something warm, tasty, but not too heavy. I love the little crackers on the top of the lid,

This soup is a winner. The flavor is very tasty and the onion topping makes it even better. This is close to home-made. Will purchase again.
