Fluval Bug Bites Cichlid Fish Food, 3.74 lb.

Great deal for the price! My cichlids love this food!

It is a good product overall and reasonably priced but the "Granules for Small to Medium Sized Fish" arrived as "Pellets for Medium to Large Sized Fish" on a couple of occasions which are bigger than expected.

I keep 3 or 4 different flavors of food for my fish just as I do food for my self. The fish seem to really like it because it really reaches the bottom. I mostly use pellet foods because flakes seem to float everywhere. I do one other odd thing and that is to take a small portion of water from tank using a small plastic cup. I put my serving size of food into the container of tank water and let it sit several minutes and once done, I pour the food from side to side in the open tank area. It is all gone in a couple of heart beats. I never have to worry about everyone getting some, because the super eater never seem to keep it all in. In addition, the extra that the fish let loose in the tank, it is more than enough to keep the small fries feed. I only feed every other day, so I feed on the odd days of the month. The process is going so well that I do not have any snails taking over my tank and my Cichlids just keep making more Cichlids! Have fun.

This has been my go-to food for my Oscar, Catfish, Pleco, and Pike. It's been over 2 years feeding them this. It's good food. The only complaint is that most of the time the pellets don't sink and just stay on the surface. but overall, my fish eat it on the surface too. But I would recommend this brand all the time

The pellets are huge. They list for medium to fish but I have 45 tanks running so lots of fish to experiment with. I keep Central American cichlids so for an example a 5” Cryptoheros cutteri, panamius panamensis, any many more that are unable to swallow so they mouth the food making. For everyone using both New Life Spectrum and Northfin both classify it’s a jumbo pellet. So any large that 7-8” will be able to swallow the pellets. I have full size Vieja melanura and argentea and it’s great besides that. It’s palatable to everything. But ultimately the medium fish is completely wrong. I bought a large amount thinking I’d go through it quickly but I’ve only for 2 species to feed it too.

Fish seem to like it been feeding this fo a while now and for the price and quality I have no complaints. I have about 50 large African cichlids that all eat this.

My cichlids love this new food

Nice quantity. Good price. Update. The pellets sink straight to the bottom. Like a rock!! Good for bottom feeders.
