Next Level Training SIRT Training Pistol Red/Green Laser and Weighted Magazine. Includes Case, Manual, and, Adjustment Tools.

Just received the SIRT training pistol, over all it is a great training tool for concealed carry proficiency but it also has some issues that should be resolved for asking price of $195. First problem was the included DVD formatting. I tried four different programs to launch the video's but had no luck! I was able to get audio through one piece of software but that isn't much help for initial training. Luckily for me I have NLT's DVD's from another source so I can review the training there but if It's advertised as a DVD, it should be formatted to play on any portable DVD player as well as your CPU without the hassle of trying to figure out how to play it. Next, the removal magazine fits really sloppy, it rattles around in the mag well and doesn't "lock up" like a true firearm (I found that distracting). Additionally, if you pull even slightly on the base of the mag it will detach from the SIRT w/o pressing the release. Tactical & slide lock reloads are an important piece of CCW training so the SIRT pistol is lacking in that venue. Only tactical reloads can be executed since the slide is stationary on the SIRT pistol, coupled w/ the loose mag I was slightly disappointed for the price I paid & was glad I didn't buy the green laser which was priced at $395! The pistol in general seems to be well made so if they had paid attention to this small detail I would have given 5 stars even w/ the software hassle.

Great training tool, but the quality leaves a LOT to be desired. Had it for a month before it had to go in for service due to the lasers flickering. Upon its return, the issue was still present and I seriously doubt Next Level Training did anything to the gun at all. Had to return it a second time after attempting to contact them for over 4 weeks. Finally had to resort to posting a negative comment on their Facebook page to get any kind of response. Finally got the issue resolved the second time around, but not worth the headache.Hopefully you get a good one and not a lemon like I believe I received because Next Level Training's customer service is piss poor.

Total junk! Do not waste your money! The magazine flops back and forth almost a quarter inch, making any training with the magazine pointless. First thing you'd have to do is seat the magazine! Which is impossible. Actually, since training is all about muscle memory, I wouldn't have used this anyway. Training yourself to insert a magazine with a slide that is not functional is training yourself to fail. Even without using it the magazine shaking around is very distracting. I also should have paid closer attention to how the laser works. When you pull the trigger, it remains on until you release it. Making it very difficult to see what is actually happening at the time you make the shot. Unfortunately it looks like I'm going to have to continue using my Laserlyte until someone comes out with something that is more user friendly and/or realistic.

On first look-over I think this will be a great training aid. It's not a real gun but it's close enough for practice. Unfortunately mine died after only a few minutes. I plan to order a second directly from the factory so I don't get another one from the same batch -- I will post an update again to tell how the new one work out (or if it even works).

Great to practice. Dead-on aim but then again, there's no recoil. The weight could be heavier as it's almost a pound lighter than my loaded Glock 19 so it isn't as 'true' feeling as it could be.

I didn't get the DVD training video.

This is a great product. Not only do I use it for my personal dry fire practice but I can use it as a demonstration and diagnostic tool while instructing others. This also allows for a lot of dry practice with no danger of a negligent discharge. Should have bought one years ago.

The SIRT IS AN EXACT REPLICA OF MY GLOCK 19. It is great for dry fire training. It was well worth the investment. I get to go to the range everyday without leaving the house.
