Such an opulent treat. The glass patterned jar is exquisite & the scent is amazing. I tend to steer away from scented candles as they often smell overpowering & make my throat it, with these (bought 2!), I could smell them before I unwrapped them (packaged very well to protect) but not pungent, just beautiful. Not something I could splash out on with regularity, however, as a treat maybe once or twice a year I may well do. Very impressed. Also like the wick, doesn't splutter & the candle burns evenly 😊

This is a beautiful candle, at least it is when you remove it from the foam that is the only thing it ships in. There isn’t a cardboard box with product information, just foam that admirably protects the beautiful glass, but makes it difficult to gift as it cheapens the overall appearance of the candle. I can’t help feeling that a cardboard jacket and outer box would be both more environmentally friendly and also make this more gift ready. However, the glass container and lid are simply stunning and make up for all of the above.The candle almost feels like a bystander to the glass, which I repeat, is just stunning. The candle has a lovely scent, sea breeze, and it is gentle and not over powering when burning, but you can detect the scent from a distance. It burns well and evenly, as long as you adhere to guidance to burn for at least an hour and no more than four at a time.I will get more of these candles, but hope that the packaging can be improved as I would like to gift them, but will have to remove lots of foam and find an alternative box to do so.

I ordered this as gift and the scent was so nice in the packaging that placed more orders in separate days. I think the price is fantastic for such a wood quality candle - the jar is beautiful - however the most recent candle has leaked in the packaging and I suspect that is why the price is lower for the peppermint candle. Quite disappointing as I purchased to gift tomorrow and there is no way to contact the seller to raise this.It’s great quality but it’s a risky purchase in the sense that there’s no after sales support so if your product is damaged there’s nothing you can do - nor can you raise it with Amazon direct as the bot messaging goes in circles. I can't really comment on this candle as I'm afraid I didn't like the smell of it so haven't lit it. It arrived quickly, was very well packaged, and the jar is beautiful but I was disappointed to find that I didn't like the scent. My daughter, on the other hand, thought it smelt lovely and when she moves into her new flat soon, will take it with her and I then might be able to comment on burn time or something useful. As tastes are such a personal thing, please don't let this put you off as you might love it, and it would make a lovely gift.

The jar is beautiful and I love jolie's candles, the lavender is a favourite of mine I order every month.This one however was disappointing for me, I love mint candles but this smells overbearingly of the spruce, it smells like pine cleaner to me.I was waiting all day for this candle but was disappointed sadly.If you enjoy strong smelling spruce you'll like this, but if you were hoping for a balance or more minty one this isn't the one.It's worth your money if you like this kind of scent, jolie's candles are great quality and burn a long time so I won't be disheartened.I will pass this on to my Aunty who likes these kind of smells instead.I'll try for the sandlewood one next time.Edit: Following on from this review I was very kindly contacted by the seller who offered me the chance to try out another scent as they were keen to satisfy their customers, it was such a lovely and generous gesture and I was honestly shocked by their kindness, as I had already purchased the sandlewood scent which is heavenly I opted to try the Rose and Fig, it was sent out quickly in safety packaging and a classy gift box, my mum loved the scent and style of the candle so much that I've had to give it to her, it really does fancy up her dresser, I too enjoyed the smell greatly so I begged her to keep her bedroom door open when burning as the smell comes out into the passage and makes everywhere smell lovely, it's a good balance of Rose and Fig.I would recommend this seller and Jolie Muses candles to anyone, there's a style and smell for everyone and with customer service like this you feel valued and eager to get the right scent for you with their help, I've increased my review by an extra star for this service.

I really like the scent, not cloying the way many scented candles are, and the jar is lovely.However, the wick is undersized for the diameter of the candle. Regardless of how long you keep it burning it never melts the outer 1cm of the wax radius. That means that the candle burns down within a tunnel of wax and you don’t get the effect of the flame scintillating off the faceted glass jar, which is the whole point of faceted glass for candles.The wick is also burning down too fast, frequently in danger of being drowned in the melt pool.I chose to remove the wax tunnel as the candle burnt down to make the most of the jar, but it was a real faff and I’ll probably not buy again.

I bought this for a birthday present fora family member, they’d mentioned they liked the brand before. Normally I’d prefer to smell the scents myself but due to the pandemic I just had to take a leap of faith. I wasn’t disappointed with this one!I did rewrap it once I received it and it gave me a chance to give it a sniff. The scent wasn’t overpowering and I think would be nice in a bathroom.I can’t comment on the burn time as I don’t think the giftee will ever burn it! It was definitely a little more priced than I’ve seen in retail stores but for the ease and delivery I guess that’s you get.I would buy again.
