I had to give up coffee several years and needed a morning drink with a little caffeine. I tried green tea in tea bags and it just didn’t taste good to me. I lived in Japan for several years and enjoyed green tea with my Japanese friends, though they brewed a very mild pot of tea compared how I make it today! Through trial and error, I learned to make a great morning cup or two of tea to start my day.

This is my second purchase. I drink or sip this tea for health purposes. The contents are a beautiful bright green. The aroma is slightly pungent.It is always packaged well; double bagged.The price is right.I don't think you will be disappointed with your purchase.

I tried different varieties of matcha, good, bad, cheap, expensive, culinary, ceremonial, but this matcha is really good for the price! I mean its not ceremonial but i am also not paying for a arm and a leg!! Haha. Its price, and coming from japan it’s actually really good especially for baking. I drink it with tea and its still good but i mean i would has already finished it and payed $100+ if i had gotten ceremonial. i would be out of it now if i hadent found this one. Love it!

I use this for matcha lattes and it’s great but you have to sweeten it quite a bit because it is a little bitter. Overall it is a great product and I recommend it

Quality is good for intended purpose. Baking, ice cream making etc. Culinary Grade means it is not for drinking. Do not expect it to produce same flavor in drinks as high grade matcha powder. I think all negative commentaries are from people unable to understand "you get what you pay for". Buy ceremonial grade to make your tee.

It used to be made in Japan and used to state that on the label. The matcha was bright green. Now it is brown. And the label no longer states that it is made in Japan.

GREAT FOR MAKING GREEN FOOD COLORING FOR MY FROSTING. DON'T USE IT FOR BAKING A GREEN CAKE THAT WON'T WORK.

I usually buy matcha at the Japanese grocery store near me to use in smoothies. I found this powder to be up to the same standards that I expect. Has a deep green color. Seems very fresh. Is very fine and doesn’t clump. It dissolved quickly in my blender. The flavor of Matcha really came through in the smoothie I made with yogurt, pineapple and peaches, and a dash of vanilla. The flavor is so good, I might make some green tea ice cream with. To be clear, I received a complimentary product to give my honest review.
