Well made but has design flaws
I got the rollcage for my GoPro Hero8 because I want to use the camera on my motorcycle and bicycle for action videos and the Hero8 does not come with any lens protection and the lens cannot be replaced. This was a good option to keep dust and debris away but at the price it is sold in India, it's is expensive like all GoPro made original accessories. But it is also very well made like the other original accessories. It has a few design flaws though. A. The battery cannot be charged with the cover on. There is no small window or some opening to reach the USB port. One has to take off the entire rollcage to do that. B. Once the cover is on it becomes difficult to turn the screw of the mount below (in my case I attach it to a handlebar mount). The thumb screw fouls a little against the skin of the rollcage. These are not deal breakers but would have been nice if these design elements were taken into account. C. The back screen is entirely exposed. It may not be seen as a flaw by many because it is also a touchscreen. But I think a thin transparent touch screen friendly film would have given me more confidence.
