Hard to express just how big a difference these piston O runs make! Usual dead spots under 2000 RPM no longer present. Just watch the YouTube videos a few times, and don't obsess about getting the scraper ring perfectly seated, and you'll be fine. I thought all the reviews were exaggerated, but the difference is huge. 23 year old X5 3.0 engine is actually sporty now! Only downside is gas consumption is up a bit, as the demand for more power is actually granted now, below 2000 RPM (never a problem above it for the M54).

Exactly what was needed for a quick resealing of my vanos assembly. The metal gasket to seal the unit to the cylinder head is a bit wonky, but it did work.

Was able to rebuild my vanos in no time..quick and easy. Does have viton o-rings. If you have some plastic trim tool they'll be handy to slip new o-ring in place.
