Before you begin this tome, purchase a companion book known as a 'dictionary'. Although this edition is edited to be easier for those of us that find comfort in words with less than eight letters in them, the true flavor of Israel Regardie's grasp of the English language is quite evident on each page; but don't let that dissuade you from owning this truly magnificent work. Work being the operative word here, beginning with looking up those words your not familiar with, to the repetitive, and exacting formulae of perfecting the magick you will learn to use as described within it's pages, The Golden Dawn: The Original Account of the Teachings, Rites, and Ceremonies of the Hermetic Order (7th Ed.) will, if the practitioner applies him/her self with true feelings and diligent purpose, reward with positive manifestation. It could take weeks to quickly read and leaf through and then go back and begin the true referencing, note-taking, practicing, and learning the work which could ultimately take years to grasp (master?), but then, if it wasn't hard work, it wouldn't work at all. I am thoroughly enjoying the read, and marveling at what I am learning.

Chances are that you have an idea as to the contents of this text if you are reading this review, so I'll keep the summary short; big brick of a book, lots of ritual & symbolism related to Golden Dawn ceremonial magick, useful as a reference book for study & self-initiation. idk i like the heavy tome

This book very packed full of information, this is a very thick book. Just started reading it after I fast read through each book/chapter. I paid a bit more than I would have liked but, its finally in my library.

Everything an aspiring magician should want in their tome collection. This book is packed full of valuable gnosis for the journey of any form whether it be Esoteric, Metaphysic, or a path of Magick. You will not regret your decision. However, this information must be handled with absolute care and attention. Be warned that operations described in this book should be studied with great attention to detail, and almost certainly with the aid of a dictionary/translator. There are latin, hebrew, and greek phrases tucked in the pages so it is almost clutch to be able to translate it quickly.

i buyed 4 volumes edition too times ago, but this edition is much better. Perfect drawings and much more that behavior edition, interesting notes by the curator Michael Greer that make clear some missings of Israel regardie and is useful too his introduction. this book is the Order in your hands, a torch in the darkness. per gli italiani mi sento di consigliarvelo solo se siete inglesi esperti oppure se avete già i 4 volumi italiani, questa edizione se studiata parallelamente a quella italiana ha delle note che completano l'insegnamento, io ad esempio studio su quelli italiani, ma passo passo controllo alcune aggiunte di questa versione inglese che uso soprattutto per i disegni, molti di più, più colori, più nitidi, più belli. In più nel secondo volume italiano, nella mia copia, mancava praticamente tutta la cerimonia del neofita che è importantissima. Cosa di cui mi sono accorto grazie a questa edizione. Per chi non sapesse cos'è la Golden Dawn, è tutto l'esoterismo racchiuso in un metodo progressivo, un corpus di studi che se masticato quotidianamente regala candide ricompense.

This is a serious book — in both size and content. The 7th edition is well put together, with a sturdy hardcover and quality pages. The layout is clean, and it even includes some coloured plates like the Rose Cross Lamen early on, which really stand out. As for content, this is not light reading. It’s a full-on deep dive into the teachings, rituals, and structure of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. If you’re already familiar with some basics of the Western esoteric tradition, this book will take you much further. If not, it might feel overwhelming at first — but it’s worth the effort. Whether you’re interested in symbolism, ritual work, Kabbalah, or magical theory, this edition offers a lot. It’s definitely more of a reference or study book than a casual read.

This book is so valuable to your magickal library you just don’t know how bad you already need this book!! Very well written and is the backdrop for many successful spiritual ventures because the knowledge is so all-encompassing... I am not finished reading as my reading plan will take another year to finish but I will review this book over and over it is invaluable to your spiritual growth & profession!!! Great bonding & book sleeve, got the hardback edition which I fully recommend just because it will take you a while to complete it

The book is so big! A long study. I’m going to use it as instructed by Thomas Christopher is his book Kabbalah Magic and The Great Work. Still didn’t start reading it tho.
