Good purchase
Our rice cooker from Japan finally stopped working, so we replaced it with this one. It's easy to clean and we haven't had any issues with it.

Shouldn't have waited so long
I've toyed with the idea of a rice cooker for years, but with limited counter space, and the cost of Zojirushis, I never took the plunge. Finally decided to try this budget one with some bells and whistles beyond the bare -bones rice cookers, and it makes fantastic rice and great oatmeal (Haven't experimented beyond that, but if all it did was make great rice, I'd be happy). Love the delay timer. As much as I need, assuming it continues to perform well.

Wouldn’t work after 1 year & no warranty after that
Wouldn’t work after 1 year 7 months of usage. Called them to deal with it yet got told that the warranty is only for one year. So basically if your machine is broken after a year, you have to fix it yourself or pay out of pocket? This is really ridiculous…

Non-Sticky, easy to use, quick rice cooker
If you only wants a basic non-sticky and easy to use rice cooker, then this is it! It can cook rice around 20-30 minutes depend on number of cup of rice, and really easy to use and clean. I use it to cook rice almost every two days, and no regret since I got it. Great value!

Works great!
I bought this after reading a ton of reviews on various rice cookers. I was all set to spend $200+ on a Zojirushi, but this one caught my eye. I've only used it for calrose style rice so far, but it's come out perfect every time! Capacity is perfect for my needs. I'm a single guy, so a larger cooker would have been a waste for me. Works great if I'm just cooking for myself, if I have the occasional date, or a few friends for dinner. If I had to add a complaint, it's that there's some condensation that spills a bit when you open the lid. It's such a minor thing, though, and so easy to deal with with a bit of paper towel that it's not even worth taking a star off for. Speaking as a professional chef, it's not something I would ever consider for restaurant use simply due to the capacity, but for home use this thing is flawless.

The perfect replacement
We had a 10 year old rice cooker that we just kept putting off replacing. My wife really likes to make a particular type of rice and most of the cookers we saw did not have that setting. This one is a little big cup wise and was simple to learn how to use. Have been using it for about a month now and would give this two thumbs way up.

Cheaper version of Zojirushi
I love it. I looked at many models before buying it. If you look at all the negative reviews, you’ll notice complaints on every model. Even with the Cuckoo & Zojirushi. As I learned more about all the models, I came to the conclusion that I wanted certain features, such as non stick, being able to steam at the same time cooking rice. The cooking sensor like neuro fuzzy(Zojirushi )or like this one (smart temp. sensor). 5.5 cup size, multi function cooking menu settings, easy cleaning. I looked at the Zojirushi & considered it, but didn’t want to pay that much. I looked at the lower end, & didn’t like some of the lack of features, or the negative reviews turned me off. This was the closest to Zojirushi, but at a lower price. Some people complained about the Zojirushi parts not lasting, or broken. I really liked this style too. It really comes down to what features you want & how much you are willing to pay & reviews. I’ve used it to make rice, potatoes, pancakes & steaming veggies. The one time I lifted cover too early on potatoes & some water did spill, but after I lifted it up a second time, no spill. There is a learning curve to this product. I’ve searched the internet for cooking ideas & that helped. I would still like to find more recipes. None included with this product. I do enjoy this product & I do recommend. I do recommend reading important safeguards that come with instructions.
