Stealth Survivor? Mental Health Survivor!
I've used the Corsair brand for, damn, decades now. Not a single one has failed me. Deciding later to purchase a 64GB Stealth Survivor, backup my important files from my 3rd backup and then keep this on my key chain has worked well. Sorry for the run on sentence. The important item is that this also never failed. Later I purchased 512 GB, and again no issues! Now I have this 1TB.As with each Stealth, it is a hard case with rubber gasket to keep the actual flash drive safe. What's on mine? Everything. My tax returns, resume, ebooks, writtings I dabbled with, rrports for work, CDs/MP3 files, pictures and videos. I do keep each in there own file folder.Oh, cons?Fine.First off, after year or more most likely 🤔 the flash drive, with continued daily use, pops off the hard case when pulling it out of the USB drive. That is just an inconvenience. You can stick it back on, so it will not "rattle" around when screwing the case cover back on. But note, I use it daily! My harddrive doesn't hold my files, this does. My older models of these are the backups as is a 4TB harddrive thats my primary backup. I doubt Corsair expected regular daily use. The name is corny, as it isn't stealth. The black finish will wear off if you use it on your keychain. Personally, it doesn't look terrible. See photo for your own perspective. I have used this case for a few years now.So now I purchased this 1TB, had it for sometime and no issues. Are there less expensive Flash Drives? Yeah. Of course. All I can speak for are my own experiences with Corsair products.

It’s pretty goood. Not bad
I’ve had this USB for atleast 1 year now and it’s still working just fine. Holds a lot of large sized files and transfers relatively quick. 3.0 speed not 3.1. Have not yet had issues with corrupt files.

Yes it is one TB, don't listen to under educated users
It is one TB, that is a fact. The industry standard way to measure for manufacturers is in base 10, your computer uses base 2. 1 TB (terabyte) is base ten, aka decimal, so it is exactly 1,000,000,000,000 bytes of data. You're computer uses base 2, aka binary, which is not the same. Your computer measures in TiB which is binary (tebibytes), not decimal terabytes. 1 tebibyte is 1,099,511,627,776 bytes. So you are comparing apples to oranges if you complain that a 1 TB drive isn't 1 TiB. Just needed to put that out there, computer illiteracy drives me nuts.

Not actually 1 Terabyte - 922GB
I bought this under the assumption it was 1 Terabyte, but Corsair misled me and now I am stuck with a $200 thumbstick inside of a aluminum tube that has 78 less Gigabytes than I thought it would have. “Formatting” doesn’t require that much space.

Excellent survivable flash drive
Does the job as a full system backup hardened flash drive for my laptop. Much more compact than other types of backups and can be carried in a key chain. Lots of capacity. If encrypted security is needed, then look at the Apricot flash drive with password keypad.

Great storage and speed in a protective capsule
The Flash Survivor Stealth 1TB USB 3.0 Flash Drive is a standard-sized thumb-drive that comes in a little hollow aluminum cylinder. The cylinder is very tough and according to the manufacturer, it keeps the product safe from shock, vibration, and water submersion up to 200m depth. The capsule is threaded, so you just screw/unscrew the thumb-drive out of the capsule when you want to use it, and screw it back in when you are not using the drive. The device has a nice heft, feels nice to hold; although I didn't abuse it at all, I can tell it could take a beating.I transferred ~400GB of data to this drive to clear some space on a PS4 hard drive and it took about 16 hours or so. The read speeds are fast enough I can play videos from the thumb drive directly without any wait times. There's effectively no delay with accessing media from this drive. One potential problem (although this wasn't a problem for me) is that the drive has a circular base of ~2 cm (~0.8 inch) diameter which may cause physical obstruction if you want to insert this drive into an ultra-thin device or a device whose USB ports are low to the resting surface. If you have a thin laptop, you could just stack your laptop on top of a textbook or something to get around this problem.

Works as stated.
We love these in our business. They are protected from dust dirt and liquid, which makes them perfect.

Works as expected and good to have
This does what you need it to if you have important data you need to move in a secure way.
