I still saw rodent droppings in my engine bay. Today was supposed to be the second day for re-application. I’d say this product doesn’t really work. **Q: I do not see a listing of ingredients in the description. Can someone please tell me what the ingredients are?** A: The exact ingredients on the bottle are: pure peppermint essential oil, water and other non toxic emulsifiers. So far it has worked great for us and we also had a minor peppermint oil fragrance in the car. It does not last and we spray the motor weekly. Before this product we have $10,000 worth of wire damage to our Prius. You'd think that Toyota would get it not to use a soy based product, but they apparently don't. Good luck it's a good product. LB **Q: What's different between this and other versions like "insect and pest control"? i'm going to assume that it's just marketing, which is fine.** A: Insect and pest control?? Like Raid, etc. This is designed for inside your car engine. Will not harm wires, etc., that squir.,mice and other critters like to chew on. **Q: Is this good for roaches** A: It’s highly unlikely to have any affect on roaches. Rodents find the scent repulsive. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Squirrels Beware: An Effective & Non-toxic Solution *by K***L on September 26, 2026* Worked like a charm without all the toxic chemicals. Our car dealership advised us to get this after we found that a squirrel was filling our car engines with black walnuts. They told us it was safe to be sprayed on equipment or the hood of the car and could even be given to mechanics to spray when changing filters at regular service visits, etc. It's potent, but fresh and minty. Problem solved. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong scent but seems to work . *by G***A on September 11, 2026* Husband used in our 2026 Toyota Tundra engine compartment and wheel wells along with battery operated sonar strobe light gadget I bought on Amazon, the combo has kept mice away . Ps: strong scent did not venture inside the vehicle. We still have the “new car” scent ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don’t buy it for the sprayer *by H***I on January 28, 2024* The product itself seems to work well, but the sprayer stopped working after only a couple of uses. Before this, I was using Harris Peppermint Oil, which has the same percentage of peppermint plus a little cinnamon oil, so the scent is a bit stronger. But this jug was more economical and had the bonus of a sprayer wand, which I thought would be easier to use. And it was… until it broke. The product itself seems fine, but I have to pour it into a regular spray bottle to use it. Next time, I’ll be going back to the Harris spray. UPDATE: The company contacted me after reading this review and offered to refund my cost due to the broken sprayer, which I thought was really nice of them. I recently bought another jug of this product* because it does seem to do the job and it is more economical than the smaller bottles. I am impressed that it contains 4% peppermint oil, whereas most other brands contain only 1% or less. As for spraying it, the best solution we found was to pour the product into a small pressure (pump) sprayer and use it that way. Goes on quick and easy with even coverage. So the included sprayer is irrelevant to us now. (Maybe Mighty Mint should think about selling refill jugs with no sprayer at all?) Added a star for product efficacy and great customer service. *not this exact product, but the Mighty Mint Rodent Natural Peppermint Oil Spray, which has the exact same ingredients, just a different color (green) label and the ability to be purchased on Subscribe and Save for a discount. ## Frequently Bought Together - Rodent Repellent Spray for Vehicle Engines and Interiors - Cars, Trucks, RVs, & Boats - UDyoude Rodent Repellent for Car Engines, Mouse Repellents for Car, Pest Repellant, Cars Rodent Repellent Under Hood, Keeping Rodents Out of House, Peppermint to Repel Mice and Rat Repellent-2P - Ultrasonic Rodent Repellent for Car Engine – Battery Powered Under Hood Mouse Repeller with Flashing Strobe Light, Keeps Rats and Mice Away from Vehicle, Automobile, Truck, Garage, Attic, Barn, Shed --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/223998413-mighty-mint-rodent-repellent-vehicle-spray-16-oz](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/223998413-mighty-mint-rodent-repellent-vehicle-spray-16-oz) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
