I received the Kenra Sugar Beach Conditioner which I used after washing my hair with a clarifying shampoo by another company. The clarifying shampoo removed any previous products from my hair to allow the Kenra Sugar Beach Conditioner to do its best work on my hair.My 50-something, Caucasian hair is naturally curly. It's also thick and over 50% gray. I stopped coloring my hair two years ago and now it's all my own without any processing. I tend to wash and condition it each day, add a leave-in conditioner out of the shower, and let it air dry. Because my hair tends to be on the dry side thanks to aging and hard water, I'm always on the lookout for products that hydrate, which Kendra Sugar Beach Conditioner did very well.The conditioner arrived with the top of the dispenser broken, and about 2 ounces of the product in the bag surrounding the bottle. I carefully removed the bag and squeezed out the product to use for my first use of this conditioner.The conditioner is a light blue color and thinner than expected. The scent was pleasant, but not heavy. The conditioner did not irritate my scalp or skin and rinsed well leaving my hair soft to the touch.I was surprised by how much I liked this conditioner. It really seemed to smooth the cuticle of my hair, and moisturized it overall, without leaving my hair looking greasy. My dried hair was soft to the touch and I look forward to using this large 33-ounce bottle for several months as a conditioner and co-wash.I recommend this product to anyone who is seeking a salon-quality conditioner that's not too heavy for normal to thick hair. Those with thin hair could still use it, but they may have to use even less product to achieve hydrated hair.

Leaves my hair feeling soft. This is a nice medium weight conditioner. I use it as a leave in conditioner and it works well. I have naturally curly hair that is prone to knots and frizz. Leaving the conditioner in works well for both. It has the perfect amount of weight too, so my hair doesn’t get weighed down and plastered to the top of my head. I still have to add product, but it’s a great base to build on.I like that it comes with a pump dispenser. I use two pumps for conditioning and one pump for the leave in treatment. It’s not the obnoxious pumps that pump too much and you waste it. I feel like it’s a nice amount and perfect for my hair needs. It leaves my hair softer than most conditioners. I am not sure if it’s the recent dying or that I’m getting older and have some grey hair, but I have noticed my hair feels more course. It’s not back to normal, but it is getting softer. That is reason enough to but it again. I also enjoy the scent. It has that salon quality smell to it. It does linger all day, but keep in mind I do leave some in. It has a sweet smell that has floral hints. It’s actually pretty fragrant for a conditioner.Overall I think it’s a good conditioner that actually offers noticeable differences. I feel like the price is very fair for the amount you get. I am pleased with the results and would recommend it.

Overall I would say this is an ok product. It doesn't smell so great and the pump stem is on the skinny side and with having long hair it took a very long time for me to pump enough to cover my hair. It is thick, not watery - smell is ok but kind of off. I wouldn't say bad, I was just expecting a sugary beachy scent. I went out with wet hair because I usually curl it how I want after it air dries to minimize heat damage to my hair and it made my hair extra curly which was nice. So if you want a beachy wave, this is the conditioner to use. I feel like it enhanced the semi-waves my hair naturally has.

This is the first time I have used a Kenra conditioner. This is their Sugar Beach Conditioner, which is meant to give your hair texture and prepare it to take certain wavy styles. The bottle is very generously sized, making it quite a good value despite a relatively high price. I also love that it had a pump dispenser, especially since the bottle is so large and heavy. I found it simple enough to use...it's basically like any other conditioner. The scent is light and airy; I found it quite 'beachy' and pleasant! (It wasn't too strong for me as it was for many reviewers, but I recently had COVID-19 and my sense of smell is not the sharpest.) Unfortunately, I didn't feel like it did much for me in terms of conditioning or styling. My hair didn't feel especially soft and smooth, which is what I am usually looking for in a conditioner, and I don't feel like it was any easier to style it, or that it lent itself to a beachy, windblown look. It was okay, and I will use it for days when I plan to wear my hair up in a bun or other up-do or for ponytail days when I still want a little volume. I like this conditioner, but I don't love it.This product earns three stars from me for performance, but because it is cruelty-free, as are all Kenra products, I am bumping the rating up to four stars.I hope my experience with this product might help YOU make a more informed purchase.
