No more scum rings!!
My family and i are new to hot tub life and it drove me crazy to have that scum ring and the oils from our bodies floating around and sticking to the side. I have bought scum buddies that float on the surface like sponges. While they work to some extent, they are not a solution. This product effectively broke down the oils so that the filter could do its job better than ever before. Even then the filters are not as dirty as they were in the past. I will continue to use this product and pay the price that is asked. I was afraid at first to buy yet another expensive chemical and adding even more maintenance to the care of the water in the spa. This was not the case, in fact I have noticed that the other chemicals are lasting longer and are working more effectively.

Nearly new micro filter destroyed
I guess there must have been a LOT of hidden "scum" in my spa because the first time I used it my micro filter (which was practically new) became completely clogged with this weird slime. I didn't know it since my filter, like all spa filters, is in a box. All I knew was that my spa completely shut down and flashed an error message. I checked the filter and found it completely coated with this really disgusting jelly-like substance. Even more bizarre, the entire micro filter was sort of shriveled. Fortunately I'd ordered two micro filters so I had a spare. Still, it would have been nice if there were some kind of message on the label that described what might happen the first time when it's added to a spa that's used very regularly. That said, it does seem to be doing a decent job of keeping the water clear. It also smells really good when it's first added. Unfortunately, the nice scent doesn't last.

Baqua Spa Sucks!
Just another chemical to get you to buy! Baqua Spa is no good if you plan to use your spa more than once per week. I drained and refilled my spa 8 times in 6 months. I have recently switched to Bromine and I love it!
