- This RJ45 Connector only supports Cat7 Cat6A installation cable. Support inner conductor 23 AWG;The Insulated core diameter must be 1.35-1.45mm thick. Otherwise, this can cause the cable cores in the connector or threading aid to not be fixed and moved in them.

**Q: Do I have to buy a copper strip separately**
A: Copper strip ?
I used cat6a cable so it has a shielding foil, that is what is grounded to connector

**Q: I was successful with gen 1. with pass-thru gen2, every termination failed on at least one wire. is it just me or have others experienced the same?**
A: What gauge(AWG) size are you using? I was successful every time with AWG 23 other than once or twice due to my own error.
