NIV Study Bible, Fully Revised Edition (Study Deeply. Believe Wholeheartedly.), Bonded Leather, Black, Red Letter, Comfort Print Review: Nice NIV Translation Study Bible - I've purchased various Bibles to have different study Bibles as well as translations. This is an updated version of an earlier version NIV study Bible. There is a notable difference in the study notes and images. This Bible is full of color. It is a red letter edition. The NIV translation is in the middle of the translation spectrum as a thought for thought translation. It seems the words of Jesus are similar/same across the NASB, ESV and NIV translations. This is a Zondervan Bible. I also own a Zondervan NASB Bible which seems to have fewer options in Study and journaling Bibles. Ont he translation specturm is the best word for word translation. The Zondervan NASB and and Zondervan NIV study notes are very similar with broader or additional notes in the NIV version. This also applies to the book summaries and notes at the beginning of the chapters. Most to all of the notes in the Zondervan NASB Bible are in the NIV. This NIV has more notes overall. This is a dual column Bible. The Bible is more in paragraph form rather than by verse (i.e. verses aren't broken out with left justified verse numbers). The verses are in paragraph and superscript at the beginning. it may, for some, require a little more effort to locate a verse and may be fine for others. The size and weight is average. The cover is black and nice look and feel. It has two ribbon book markers inside in two colors. The font size is larger than some Bibles at 9 point. The pages are thin as are the case of most Bibles but not as thin as some in my Bible library. If you're looking for a nice study Bible and like an easy to read translation before moving to the ESV or NASB translation this is a good Bible to have. It also compliments other translations also help reveal God's word for those delving into deep studies. Nice Bible and at a average to nice price. Review: The newer Bible - I like it, it's more updated version, it helps you to understand what you're reading and study, my old one is coming apart

Love this revised version
I had a NIV study Bible for about 40 years. It was getting delicate and coming apart. I loved the Bible and all the study info so I bought the same one in a revised edition. Can’t get enough of reading all the study material that opens up God’s Word. Can’t go wrong with this Bible and the price was good.

Makes a lovely gift!
Absolutely beautiful Bible. I purchased for a friend and as I was putting the tabs on the pages, I fell in love with it and bought one for myself. Pages are very thin, but it’s an excellent study Bible with photos, archeological finds, maps, etc.. brings the Bible to life!

Great Bible
Great bible. I pair this with the Bible App occasionally to listen along as I read. The footnotes are helpful and I love the pre-chapter information.

Excellent Quality, Highly Recommend!
The NIV Study Bible, Fully Revised Edition, is a fantastic resource for anyone looking to dive deeper into their faith. The bonded leather cover feels durable and luxurious, and the red-letter text is easy to read thanks to the Comfort Print feature. The study notes are incredibly insightful, providing a great balance of information and clarity. Whether you’re a new believer or someone looking to expand your understanding, this Bible is a great choice. I highly recommend it for personal study or as a thoughtful gift!

Dangerously thin pages
Dangerously thin pages. Just turning could tear. Glad came in a box. Would have liked it indexed. Tabs on this thin of pages to me is a no no & putting back and forth in box with such on...well not a good idea either.

Best study bible
This is a very complete and colorful study bible. It couldn't be better. I would love to find it in a NASB or ESV. But other than that it is perfect. It is a bit large and heavy to carry around.

bought this for my husband for Fathers Day. He loves it. Very classic, sleek leather cover. It is a MASSIVE book. Probably a good 4 inches thick and quite heavy. That being said, it has a lot of fantastic study notes and illustrations to help deepen your understanding of the Word! He really, really loves this - I think it’s a great gift for those wanting to build a deeper understanding of the Bible & relationship with Jesus!

Balanced study notes, excellent font, beautiful color, heavy to carry study Bible. I would like Zondervan to release a "Retro Niv Study Bible" with study notes, comfort print, sewn binding, but minimal pictures, charts - this would be lighter & easier to carry. The Niv Study Bible is a helpful resource!

I love using a good Study Bible, and the updated NIV Study Bible has to be “up there” with the best of them, this is likely to become my 2021 main Bible. I bought the leather edition as I feel they last longer if they are used regularly. This is an updated version of the NIV Study Bible, and so far I love it. It’s full of colour, which makes it visually appealing. Here are the things I like best: • The New International Version itself is in my opinion the best translation to use for day to day devotionals and study. I like to compare with a more literal (NRSV or ESV) and more functional (NLT) translation when studying, but the NIV is the best of both worlds. • The Study Bible was written by the same people behind the NIV translation. • Visually it’s appealing as it’s full of maps, charts, photos, diagrams and helps like symbols to help you spot useful notes, and a “progress bar” so you can see where you are in the whole Bible. • It’s got brilliant introductions to each section of the Bible (e.g. the Gospels) as well as brilliant book introductions which give you lots of information around the purpose of the book, the author, main themes, background, and so on. • It has 125 in-text articles which are brilliant – they mostly take up a quarter to half a page. • It has around 21,000 study notes which cover everything from background, to history through to application. • The paper is bright, I think 30gsm, and it comes in large print if you need that. • The layout is clear, and the text is easy to read. • The black bonded leather cover with silver gilt edging looks really nice too! What I have noticed, and love, is that the notes and articles usually take a “middle ground” where there is disagreement. But they do make an effort to explain and represent opposing views, and I think generally they do that well, it’s definitely a sincere attempt to be fair to all the main views (for example, the article in 2 Timothy on women in leadership). The things I am not so keen on, firstly this is a Words of Christ in Red Bible. The red is a darker red, so it’s still very easy to read, but I personally don’t like red-letter editions. It’s strange this one is since the NIV preface says they don’t endorse red letter text. The only other thing I am indifferent to is the concordance. This is said to be the biggest concordance ever bound into a Bible. That’s really helpful, but in a world of Bible apps, I haven’t used a concordance in years. These are two minor issues, that for many others will be positives. Overall I think this is a Bible I would highly recommend to anyone. It works well with the NIV Biblical Theology Study Bible which I have been using as my main Bible, but I think I’ll switch to the NIV Study Bible as the main one, it's that good!
