I have the family size zero grid passport wallet and really like it. So I thought it would be a safe choice for a individual travel. Unfortunately, it does not fit a passport well and I worry it would cause damage over time (it's very tight to take the passport in and out). I've returned for a refund.

I needed to replace a worn neck wallet for international travel and after checking out a number of reviews, decided to purchase this Grid passport holder. On the PRO side: Light weight, reasonably well-made, RFID, room for passport, four+ credit cards, some folding money, and travel documents on the outside slash pocket. I also like the mini-pen inside to fill out travel docs or for taking notes. The only real CON: There are two hard plastic pebble-grain pads (one with foam on the credit card side) sewn into the wallet. These pads add 3mm to 4mm to the thickness of the wallet and increase its stiffness. This seems to be unnecessary as passports are pretty stiff and I wanted a wallet that would fit easily and slimly into a front pants pocket. SOLUTION: Taking a cue from another reviewer, I carefully used an x-acto knife (a straight razor blade would work also) and cut the fabric in order to remove the pads. Then I used a good, flexible nylon fabric glue and glued the fabric back in place. The "surgery" is hardly noticeable and the result is a lighter, more flexible wallet. SUGGESTIONS to Grid: A couple of improvements could be made besides the elimination of the pads. First, use a sturdier water-proof rip-stop nylon for the outside. Second, the zipper could be better. Third, reduce in size or drop the screen-printed outside logos -- they look cheap.

Estuve buscando un estuche o funda para mi pasaporte durante las últimas 2 semanas, pero todos los modelos que encontré eran tipo folder y algunas sin protección RFID. Cuando encontré este estuche, lo primero que llamó mi atención fue que cuenta con un cierre YKK alrededor, lo que permite cerrarlo por completo y evitar así que el contenido se salga. Obviamente también me atrajo la protección RFID con la que cuenta y, por supuesto, el diseño tan elegante y atractivo que tiene. Cuando lo recibí quedé más que encantado con él, ya que el material con el que está hecho se ve resistente (nada fuera de lo ordinario) y se ve idéntico al de las fotos del anuncio. Al abrirlo, me di cuenta que tiene una pequeña pluma, la cual será demasiado útil cuando haya que llenar formularios o hacer anotaciones rápidas. También noté que cuenta con 2 compartimientos grandes, en donde perfectamente caben 2 pasaportes billetes o papeles pequeños, y 2 compartimientos pequeños para tarjetas o identificaciones. Se pueden poner hasta 4 tarjetas en cada uno de esos compartimientos, permitiendo llevar todo lo que necesitas en tu viaje en el mismo lugar. Sin duda ha sido una grandiosa compra! No puedo esperar para utilizarlo en algún viaje!
