Short cord but great bird bath for winter
I have had this for about a week now and it is wonderful for my outdoor visitors. I have it set up right next to my bird feeder and the local finches love it. My other bird bath is already frozen over for the winter but this one is keeping temperature very well. It is large, looks nice, the birds are happy with it, it was easy to screw into a railing post, and serves its purpose well. My only complaint is the length of the cord. It is really short so unless you have an outlet nearby, plan for an extension cord. You will also need to top it off every few days since the heat speeds up evaporation and the bowl is not incredibly deep.

Works just as advertised
Very easy to set up and clean. Water is the perfect temperature and it stays completely thawed in freezing temperatures, automatically turning off when it rises back up again. The birds really need (and appreciate) fresh water in winter!

Below freezing temps and water does not freeze!
The first one delivered did not operate, the heating element failed. But the replacement was immediately sent out and works amazingly!! Our winter temperatures are below freezing and the bird bath water does not freeze. Doves, finches, blue jays and cardinals all have visited, and many squirrels, as well.

Kept water thawed in negative temps
I got this since I’ve had a bird bath on the railing so I want to ensure the birds know they can expect water year-round, even in freezing temps. I’ve had it about 6 weeks and am very pleased with its performance! As I write this, it’s currently -4 degrees Fahrenheit outside here in the Midwest. While some of the water has frozen a bit on the top/sides, the base has kept the water from freezing and the center is completely unfrozen so birds can still drink from it. It’s been a little challenging getting the bird bath mounted to our thin railing since the clamp seems more intended for large wood railings. What I ended up doing is just strapping a board across the corner with a bungee cord to hold it in place (as shown in my pics). This setup is working great and keeps the bath level. It is pretty shallow, but I think it needs to be to keep the water thawed. It seems to be plenty for the number of birds we have around right now & I fill it every couple days. It does not make the water hot, but it keeps it warm enough to prevent freezing, even in the subzero temps we’re currently having. The metal frame that holds it is very substantial and sturdy. I have not used the little feet or the screw-in mount, just the clamp. While the clamp didn’t work well with our thin metal railing, it was very sturdy and I think it would work much better with the appropriate railing. I used an outdoor rated extension cord to power it & used duct tape to secure the connection and also to prevent water from getting to the plug. The cord I used is rated for air compressors & things like that so it’s handling this just fine. Overall I’m really pleased with this heated birdbath. I don’t know that we’ll get many birds in this weather but at least I know if any do come around, they’ll have fresh water.

Great Winter Birdbath!
I am so happy with this birdbath that I’m going to make a review. Like other people I was skeptical, but now that we’ve got snowmagedon Fern coming and it’s like 9 degrees out my birds and squirrels haven’t been without water at all! The depth is small and you do have to put more water in it, especially after my deer come, but the quality of the product is great! I do wish the cord was longer as I had to use extension cords and put boards over it. I’m going to put it under my patio table today so the snow doesn’t pile up on it. Overall I think it’s well worth the money for my birds In the winter time, I doubt if I’ll use it in the summer because of how shallow it is.

Just okay
After our beloved (both by us and the birds) 20-year-old Erva Heated Bird Bath burned out, we looked for a more reasonably-priced alternative: The Erva bird bath dish is now about $75. The new bird bath is just okay. It is much shallower than the Erva which means the water evaporates (especially in the colder months when the heater is plugged in) and water needs to be added every day. With a greater volume of water it would be wonderful.

Did a great job this Winter! I am glad that I bought it.
This is not a pretty bird bath, BUT has been quite a party spot for my wonderful East Tennessee birds this winter, I have a beautiful vintage concrete birdbath that see's alot of Birdie action, but come winter here I was afraid that it may crack during the freeze thaw cycles. So I ordered this bird bath. It's not very deep but deep enough for birds to get an important drink when needed. The squirrels also found their watering hole and seem very happy. We had a few deep freezes this year 2025-2026 but the heated bird bath never froze. You do need to keep an eye on it daily and check the water as it well dry up a bit. I was not happy with the price intially but it has been well worth the price to take care of our precious birds this season.

So far, so good
Item arrived in a timely manner, seems solid, simple, easy to set up. I used the legs provided and set it up on the frozen surface of what held flowers in summer months. I wanted it away from the feeders so it wouldn't get dirty form all the mess the birds make under the feeder. When it needs to be cleaned, I can either bring hot water and a cloth out and clean it there or unplug it and bring it inside. Neither option will be very difficult. It's only about 2 inches deep, which is great for birds. I've only had it a few days, but so far, so good. The water has not frozen, is cool, but not frigid. No worse than a stream might be here, in winter. I've been sitting here like an anxious parent who bought a new toy for their child, waiting for the birds to discover it. So far, I've only seen Blue Jays drinking from it, but time will tell. Anxious to see if it affects my power bill. The only thing that I might look for in the future would be an on/off switch, rather than just unplugging it and maybe the water could be a tad warmer. So far, I would recommend this product.

It's been cold outside, but the water stays liquid
Keeps the water from freezing. It works at -10c and I'd expect it to be fine colder than that, too. I don't think birds would be interested in taking a dip in -30 degree weather but I'm not a bird so I don't know. The water never gets warm, so don't expect a bird hot tub. Other than that, I've got it set up on the little feet it comes with and that's fine. The cord is pretty short so you'll want an extension cord. The bath is wide but shallow, so there's a good amount of evaporation and you'll have to fill it up every few days. I haven't seen any birds in the bath yet and its been a week, but I have been told that it might take several weeks before the birds are familiar with it enough to go for a splash. Makes sense because it takes them a while to warm up to a new feeder. Overall, does precisely everything expected of it. I gave it a 5 in all categories. I would have given it 6 stars for "sheerness" if I could.

Prima Beheizte Wasserstelle im Winter.
Supergute Wasserstelle für Vögel im Winter. 8 Tage vor Lieferdatum angekommen! Spitze! Klar, es wird ein Spannungsumformer 230 Volt zu 120 Volt benötigt!! Aber das sind uns die Tiere WERT! Die Wasserstelle wird sehr oft benutzt.

All seasons bird bath
I bought this in October and looked out one day and it was full of birds and more waiting for the bath. Since I plugged it in around early December, there's been a mixed bag of weather and cold nights below 0C and the water doesn't freeze. I can feel the warmth on the bottom of the bath when cold and on warm days I can tell it's not warming because the built-in temperature gauge shuts off when not needed. Birds are still taking a bath (they still bath in winter)or drinking, squirrels too. It's easy to unplug, pop out the bath to bring inside to wash. My previous bird bath couldn't stay out in winter & if I put a dish out it would ice up and I felt bad for the birds. I attached to the railing, easy to set up near the plug. I don't know if it's just evaporation in these temps or warming causing it, but I do have to top it up every other day at least or it's gone almost dry. Or could be the birds splashing around in it lol. I will update when it's really cold how it handles if it freezes or can't handle it. But so far -11C overnight was still water in the morning. Those lucky birds 😄 Edit: middle of January, before work feeling like -22C I turned on the light and took a picture, frost around the edges because of high winds but completely liquid! Topped it up, but after work it had dry areas already, so definitely have to monitor water level. How nice during the day to see the birds wading thru it or drinking. So far so good 👍

A value birdbath which works
I liked the price, compared to many offerings well over double the price, It's easy to mount with the supplied hardware. My only complaint is that the bowl is much too shallow; doubling the depth would be perfect. Overall, a good item and worth the money.
