This is my third one over a period of about 20 years. Yes, unfortunately you can wear them out. Philips please keep making these. They are the best. Sadly I had to buy an alternative as this wasn't available last time I needed one. The alternative was a supposedly reputable brand. The cut was so bad and it was so poorly designed it was binned within 3 weeks and I went back to my worn out Philips unit stuck together with tape. Absolutely delighted to be back with a new Philips unit. I might even buy another as a back up...

Brilliant product from Philips as always. Does exactly what it needs to do, does it brilliantly and it feels solid in hand. I'm very pleased. Very premium product.

This trims my beard well. It’s consistent and does exactly what it’s designed to do. One star removed as the hair catcher simply doesn’t work. Way more hair trimmings down my shirt and in the sink than what was collected by the hair catcher. (They claim 80% is caught but even following the instructions it’s more like 20% so a fairly worthless feature).

Not for me. Build quality seems ok, the combs do feel very plasticky. The hair collector does an ok job and if you’re cutting longer hair it would probably collect it ok. I trim to a stubble level and for me the trim wasn’t consistent, with multiple longer hairs left despite going over the area multiple times in the direction suggested. The most annoying thing for me though was the fact that you can’t trim the moustache hair directly under your nose as the combs design means you cannot get the cutting blades that close. You therefore have to remove the comb to trim the area which can lead to different lengths! Poor design.

This one stands out with its on device setting change. A game changer will definitely recommend

I bought this product as a beard trimmer to find out it does not trim under one’s nose when on the 1mm setting it’s a very cheaply made product and not consistent with its marketing over all disappointed will be returning as it not as described!! The soft pouch had been cut in the material it confirms it’s not a new product and has been opened before. Disappointed!!

I was expecting more from this considering the price I replaced my ten year old Remington Barba with this as the battery was no longer holding charge The guard adjustment is very good but the guard is made of cheap plastic and I can see it breaking soon especially the two legs that go into the top of the shaver head which enable adjustment for different cutting lengths. The container for catching the trimmings is ok if you trim every day and have a very short beard otherwise anything longer and it fills up too quickly and clogs up the blades The body of the trimmer feels solid but it is too slippery and needs a rubber grip Also watch yourselves when using the trimmer without the guard as I ended up with a cut Finally what annoys me the most is the absence of a hard case as most owners will be taking it with them when they travel Come on Philips stop being stingy and provide a proper hard case especially for a trimmer at this price !

Changement du peigne vraiment pas facile. Et vidange du réservoir très difficile aussi. Beaucoup plus facile sur le modèle que j’avais avant

Habituellement j'utilisais plutôt une tondeuse multifonction mais je dois avouer qu'une tondeuse dédié au point de barbe c'est nettement mieux notamment ce modèle qui fonctionne très bien, bonne autonomie et suffisamment d'accessoires, surtout pour son prix.

Ottimo rasoio sia in fatto estetico che funzionale, comodissima la base di ricarica verticale, pulizia facile smontando la testina, comodo anche il piccolo raccoglitore che si applica avanti: non raccoglie il 100% ma buona parte si, evitando di disperdere ovunque. I due pettini principali per le due misure di taglio funzionano bene e non scappano e la rotella da ruotare per regolare la misura è molto comoda rispetto a muovere i pettini in se come funziona in genere per gli altri rasoi

Top machine, I had had a 7000 series multigroom, broke down but I bought this and I'm loving it. Don't change Philips for anything. It's built different.
