SECRET, THE: DARE TO DREAM

Thoughts are Things
What you focus on expands into your life. Everything vibrates at various frequencies. The higher your vibration the better your life will be. The term raise it up to God. Means raises your thoughts to create the things you desire. This movie teaches this lesson is such a great way.

Most positive movie ever
First of all - You can't go wrong with Katie Holmes & Josh Lucas. I have watched this movie more times than I can count. If you are looking for a little drama along with romance & a few bumps in the road, along with great acting - you'll love this movie. Some of the critics I believe are way too harsh. Just let us enjoy the movie as it is & stop nit-picking it to death. It's a very positive movie that will make you believe again.

BEAUTIFUL MOVIE !!!
The following is MY OPINION, and I am STICKING BY IT!First, who this movie is NOT FOR:1. The Pessimist - if you are the glass half empty type of person, a person who is identified with the victim-mentality, this movie is NOT for you.2. Rock Fixation - there are multiple levels of human maturation. We begin with our consciousness fixed on the object (body) level. What I call the Rock Level. Then we move onto the subjective (mind) level, then the soul level, then onto the level of Spirit. This movie is definitely NOT for those still fixated at the Rock Level, believing that only the solid rock is real because when it has fallen upside your head, it huoits. 😊3. Adrenaline-Rush seekers - if you are looking for an adrenaline rush, a steamy sex scene, a car chase, shoot outs, fight scenes, this movie is NOT for you. Please don't waste your time and money.4. Short Attention Spans - if you can't relax and let go and enjoy, and your mind tends to wander all over the place, this movie is NOT for you! The producers did NOT make this movie for such personalities.Who this movie IS FOR:This movie is PERFECT for a lazy Sunday afternoon or to watch on a rainy day. It PERFECTLY parallels real life experiences, real life phenomenon, the seeming coincidences and surprises that suddenly befall us, and shock us awake. I think that some people didn't like it for this reason. These are life experiences that normal people are likely to encounter. Everyone can identify with a sudden change in the weather. Lighning and a thunder storm in the horizon. You don't need a huge Hollywood imagination to create that. We all know what its like to feel the pressures of life. Having to pay bills, not having enough, etc. These patterns are COMMON ones, and I think people were expecting the opposite, the UN-Common.But what this movie points to, is what the book and the original The Secret (film) messaged; that as human beings, our life experience is a subjective one. We color the meaning of our life, its quality, its context, via our subjective interpretations. For example, there is this co-worker at my work who ALWAYS has some sort of unpleasant drama in his life. Something BAD is always happening. to him. Yet, if you were to pay close attention, you would notice that he carries a lot of hate and negative energy within. Everyone is always trying to screw him, short end him, etc. His psychological center of gravity is that of victim. His arm hurts, his knees hurt, he never has enough money, the higher ups are always trying to pull a fast one on him. Even when he is issued a van at work that is not the best one, he raises hell. He is so dramatic that people at work join his Facebook, just for the entertainment value! Just to see what calamity has befallen him lately! Yet, he NEVER, EVER, makes the connection that it is his very own mindset that colors his life that way! That he lives in a literal hell, because a deep part of him finds some value in that. He gains something that he finds beneficial, i.e., attention, a stirring of emotion, a following, sympathy, validation, etc. This movie simply tries to point at that, and it does a WONDERFUL job. I found myself identifying with the family and with the situations. I found myself caring for the kids and even trying to be sympathetic towards the mother-in-law!This was definitely a feel-good movie that you can easily watch with other family members, without having to worry about scenes showing up that could make anyone feel uncomfortable. This movie is for the sane person who is evolved enough to enjoy the small, subtle things that differentiate us from the animals. For that is what this movie highlights, the brightness that is exclusively human. It was time and money well spent. I found myself feeling really good by the time the credits rolled. Optimistic, loved by the Universe, and extremely fortunate to be able to enjoy this temporal human experience. It was like enjoying a really good meal, or a nice, cold, frosty beer on a relaxing summer evening.I highly recommend this movie! Enjoy!

Changing your perspective can change your life
I enjoyed the movie. The characters all had some depth to them. Very interesting premise to portray in such a short timeframe. I especially liked the scene between Josh Lucas and Aidan Pierce Brennan the expressions on Aidan’s face were genuinely portrayed.

I watched this after watching Leah Remini: Scientology
I was particularly interested to watch this movie after watching the series from Leah Remini exposing scientology, and Katie Holmes is very well known for her break with scientology's most famous celeb, Tom Cruise, so I wanted to see how her life is now, what she is participating in, years later after exiting the COS. I thought it was revealing how Katie chose to participate in a movie that is all about "you get what you expect" when scientology teaches the same message - you get what you deserve, you cause everything that happens to you whether good or bad. It's a dangerous message because a lot of people can then blame themselves for something bad happening which really was not their fault at all. The idea of the law of attraction has this caveat and it makes you afraid to even think about anything bad because that means it could be attracted to you... While on the flipside thinking good things is supposed to make great things happen for you, but we all have had that moment of extreme disappointment when we really truly believed something good was happening and then it was ripped away. Your thoughts are powerful YES and how you respond to challenges can shape your life. But your thoughts do not cause everything that happens to you - whether in scientology or in new age spirituality. And it kind of breaks my heart to know that scientology impacted Katie on this level where she still is espousing this idea that you are responsible for what happens to you. I wonder if, in her mind, she has really escaped the control of that institution.

Love this!
I’m a believer of law of attraction, manifestation, and all that jazz that aligns with the teachings the original book has to offer. To me, this movie demonstrates well how those things play out, and it holds a sweet spot in my heart. I knew I’d buy it as soon as I finished watching it on Amazon Prime.
