It was my husbands 65th birthday and I wanted to get him something useful rather than something trivial. I know he likes Smallrig camera gear and when I searched the name I found this lens rest. It’s really well made and I know he’s been moaning about how dodgy he feels it is to use his older Canon lens’s with his new smaller canon camera. I thought he would just use it with his brass portrait lens but I was wrong. He went totally over the top fitting his lens adaptor and a magnifying extender to his favourite 24-105 pro lens. He says its rock solid and has no stress on any of the joints. I got him a nice little Smallrig multi tool at the same time which he’s using on all the screws and bolts he needs to fasten bits together.

Seems to be really well built and straight-forward. I find lens supports like this to be hit and miss, but this looks much better - a slightly new and updated design and it looks like it'll work really well. Good build quality too and I love the small soft but sturdy rings that rest against the barrel of the lens. Recommended!
