Love it
I got it a month ago and has been using it every day ever since (the delivery was way faster than what Amazon said btw).I rinse it out after every use with the jet setting on the kitchen tap and I only had to fire it on the stove today. I was concerned I’d have to fire it every other day or so, but it’s not the case if you rinse it right away, without letting the coffee oils solidify within the filter.I got the small one, I might need to get the large one as well. The other brand’s ceramic filters might be cute, but they will all end up looking dirty with the coffee residue stuck in them, so this one is way better.

Greatly improved permanent coffee filter
This ceramic filter is mailed from Japan, so allow at least 4 weeks for delivery. It works better than the gold-plated metal filters, which tend not to catch all the coffee grinds. It works as well as a quality Japanese paper filter, and better than Melita (or store equivalent) paper filters which can break. This size only works for 1 cup of coffee, about 6 ounces, unless you repour the water a 2nd time. Filtering takes a minute or two longer than a paper filter, but the filtration is effective and no coffee solids get through. The filter is relatively easy to clean under running water if you have a garbage disposal; if you do not, I suggest rinsing the filter into the toilet to prevent any sediment accumulating in your drain. I have tried the filter with a couple of different coffee blends, finely ground. Coffee extraction is good. The ceramic filter appears brittle and would probably break if dropped. On the other hand you save money on paper filters, which cost me about 10 cents each for a Japanese paper filter. I would say this is a good choice for a permanent pour through coffee filter for making one cup of coffee at a time.

clogs and leaves aftertaste
If you grind and boil coffee like you would doing Turkish coffee this will clog within seconds and stop flowing. Okay, this product is not meant to be used in this manner and need to be much coarse. Maybe as coarse as french press? One main draw back is this filter leaves an aftertaste. I wasn't able to reduce the after taste after several rinses.I'll stick to paper filters or stainless steel mesh screens at least

not so good
I have one in Japan of a different make and have been using for 6 months... this one is not as good. very slow drip... too slow. My husband complains the coffee is cold by the time a cup of coffee has dripped. Not good at all.

Delivery is well
Delivery is well. Great seller. The filter is not very good, extraction was very slow, the filter clogged after first time. I followed cleaning recommendations, but it still clogged.

Taste and ease of use issues make for a retrun of the product
I try all kinds of "new" coffee delivery systems. This one seemed like a good idea .. a small, light reusable filter. After a week of use though, it became apparent this wasn't my coffee nirvana. Despite a number of uses, the coffee had an off under taste. The drip was painfully slow at times. Clean up was problematic. Tapping out in a container risked breaking the fragile drip cone. Rinsing all those grounds into my septic didn't seem to good an idea either. In the end I returned it. Good old Amazon. At least the return worked as expected.
