s/s stands for oven
I bought these to pop in my small oven so my food would cook more evenly and they have made a massive difference.. big improvement.. now my food cooks more evenly in shorter time sitting on one of these. They are a bit thin and small and you have to be very careful your dish does not fall off the wire stand but if you can balance it well, its well worth the effort and money. Would have preferred them to be a tad thicker so as to be that bit more sturdy but you cant buy anything really decent these days. They are versatile though, they can go inside my oven or inside my pressure cooker and steamer. Overall, im pleased with my purchase.
