Hipa SRM 225 Carburetor for Echo SRM225 PAS225 GT225 Trimmer Weedeater

Works awesome!! I didn't use the spark plug from the kit though as I saw some reviews saying it wasn't very good and I have been partial to NGK for two strokes for a few decades. The extra parts will come in handy in the future provided I don't put them "somewhere I can find them later"

Watched a YouTube that recommended this kit. I wasn't even certain what all was wrong with my Echo but it had sat unused for over ten years. When I weren't to with on it the little pruning bubble disintegrated. Having never rebuilt a weed eater before, I followed the instructions and what I saw on the video, dumped the old gas and added a can of 50:1 weed eater fuel from the auto parts store. It started right up and I was able to weed eat the whole the yard. No issues. No issues the second time I've used it as well. Excellent parts kit, simple install. Highly recommend.

Worked perfectly! Only had the SRM225 for about a year when it stopped working. Changed the spark plug and a looked at a couple things. But couldn't figure it out. Switched out the carb for this one and BOOM. First try started right up, no adjustments needed. And it handled my entire job from a 3 week missed cut !

I was having problems with my Echo SRM-225 so ordered a carb (not this one from a different company because it was on sale). Put it on and it was total junk. I repair 2 cycle engines and work on so many Trimmers so I know how to replace carbs. Carb was leaking for no reason, was taking 10 pulls to start, adjustment screw literally did nothing sat there and adjusted the low speed screw all the way in and out and no change to rpm or sound wasn’t working. I threw that away and ordered a HIPA which is my go to honestly for aftermarket. I should have just gone with them from the start and ignored the sale. Got the HIPA same day put it on, echo started on 2nd pull ran perfectly fine no adjustments for 5 minutes, turned it off waited 5 minutes now starts on the 1st pull every time since. Came with all the pieces fuel line, spark plug easy to install, all the parts needed for an OEM replacement.

It was easy to install, it's started right up, and the trimmer ran like a new machine. I was impressed. There are times though, after running for a bit, where it starts to sound like it wants to quit. Sometimes times it does quit. I don't know why. I understand these come preadjusted but it makes me wonder if it's need some subtle adjustment. Nevertheless, my trimmer use unusable, and now it's not. You can't beat the price. It's hard to believe everything you get for such a small investment.

While not considered OEM it fit perfectly! The only real challenge was getting the rubber grommet that has the fuel lines and inserts into the fuel reservoir installed. I used a drop of 3:1 oil and lubed up the edges of the grommet. Still took some pushing, prodding and a few four letter words but finally got it in. The whole job was 30 minutes, 15 on the grommet. The non working weed eater cranked up on the second pull, stayed on and reached maximum power. Great replacement product and 100% recommended! Kit came with carburetor, all gaskets, fuel lines, bitch of a grommet, spark plug, two air filters and two fuel bubbles. A fuel was already installed on the carb so the two were extras.

Carb for the Echo worked great! Purchased for a friend. He said they didn't even have to do any fine tuning on the carb. Was set correct right out of the box. We are finding this "HIPA" brand is a pretty good alternate to OEM carbs. This is about the 5th 1 we have used on various blowers, trimmers and chain saws.
