Awesome! Worth the money 100%! I haven’t put any fish in the tank yet because it needs to cycle, but it is a FABULOUS kit! Make sure you keep the clear plastic piece. It looks like it’s meant to throw away but it’s not!! It keeps the waterfall from making any noise. The tank is beautiful and bigger than I thought at first. I really have no complaints. 10/10 would recommend 👍 UPDATE: after six months, the filter has a very weak flow. The tank is almost impossible to keep clean due to its odd dimensions. It was an awesome little tank in the beginning, but I learned the hard way that this is not a great tank in the long run. I just got my betta a new tank because this one was so impossibly hard to maintain. Now I’d rate it a 7/10 for a temporary tank, but for a permanent one 2/10. Unless you willing to go the extra mile to keep this sucker clean, I wouldn’t recommend

I bought this for my son's Betta and then saw a million reviews that said this tank was horrible for a Betta. I was really worried about the waterfall being too much for him. I found a solution for that though and I'll share it! Anyway.. Pros: - Very easy to clean. I didn't want a tank that I couldn't clean by myself. This one is the perfect size for our fish. - Waterfall filtration works well so the tank stays clean longer. - This tank is attractive. I made a little spot for it in the kitchen and it looks awesome. - Waterfall is very quiet. Cons: - Glass seems a bit thin and that worries me because I tend to be a bit clumsy.. - I would like to be able to turn off the waterfall without unplugging the unit. Instead, I unplug it during feeding time and then plug it back in when the fish is done eating. The waterfall pulls the food to the bottom of the tank if I don't. Overall, great tank. Too much current for a Betta for sure but I bought a Betta log (from Amazon also) and it floats right under the waterfall and keeps the water movement minimal. He can rest anywhere in tank and play around in the waterfall when he feels like it. He actually really loves the Betta log as well..

I decided to buy this after I saw the price and several good reviews.I have had this aquarium for a few weeks, now I can personally say my Betta has never been happier in his new home. He swims around more, instead of sitting on the leaf of one of the plants in it, like he did in his old 1 gallon bowl. I personally like the sleekness of the design. It looks great in my room. It having a single cord to power both the light and the filter is a great feature. The Instructions are in English and Spanish and very easy to read with detailed pictures. The only two replacement parts for it are the Glass bowl and the power cord. The filter is, I believe, the Tetra Whisper 3i filter. The only difference I see is that it is powered by a very quiet impeller that attaches to the bottom of the filter instead of an annoying air pump. The filter cartridges (Use the Tetra 3i filter cartridges) are suppose to last about a month each and it comes with one filter cartridge. The Waterfall is also relaxing, oxygenates the water and removes chlorine and the fishy smell. The waterfall looks just as it does in the picture, by the way. I thought it would be more of a drizzle, but I was wrong. I'll list everything out for you: CONS: -Glass bowl had some imperfections- slightly warped (But not very noticeable) lip and 2 weird air bubble-looking things I found. At first I thought it was an air bubble inside that just stuck to the side of the bowl, but it actually was just imperfections in the glass. At least the glass bowl is replaceable. - The flat bottom of the glass bowl is only about 4-5 inches in diameter- makes it harder to put some types of plants or ornaments in. you could put in more gravel, but you'll have to keep ornaments and plants toward the center- no big deal, really. -The hinge on the light hood is a little loose and wobbly. It doesn't rattle, But I wouldn't be surprised if it is the first part that brakes. Nothing a little duct-tape and super glue won't fix. The rest of the plastic parts seem sturdy, otherwise. PROS: -Sleek -Quiet- You can only hear a faint hum when you are within 3-4 feet when it is dead-silent in the room. -8 bright white LED lights give a nice "moon light" effect at night. -Soothing Waterfall that also oxygenates the water- seriously, I had 2 Aponogeton plant bulbs in my old tank for 2 weeks and they haven't even started to sprout. 2 days after I put them in this bowl, they started growing, 3 days later, they were already 3 inches tall. -Water stays crystal clear for months at a time. -Easily change filter cartridges. -Perfect for showing off exotic small fish. I wouldn't put more than 3 or 4 small fish in it, though. -glass globe magnifies things when you look through it at the right angle. -you can fill water up to the lip without worrying about the waterfall making it overflow. -I think the current of the waterfall makes the fish more active. My Betta, Finwick, was always kind of lazy in his old bowl, he would swim around sometimes, but usually just hung out on a leaf on one of the fake plants that was in it. In this bowl/aquarium (I honestly don't know whether to call this a bowl or an aquarium) he is almost always swimming around, otherwise he is hanging out on his favorite leaf. SUGGESTIONS: -If you plan on putting a Betta or any other type of fish that is use to having little or no current, Try filling up the bowl to the lip. This will keep the current coming from the waterfall low and it also looks good. Not better or worse, but good -If you find that your filter cartridge ( Tetra Whisper Bio-Bag Cartridge small, 2-Pack ) needs to be replaced, but you don't have any replacement cartridges on you at the moment: unplug the power cord; remove the "spent" filter cartridge; rinse it in the sink with the Cotton meshy side facing up, this will remove some of the gunk that prevents the water from flowing easily through it. The carbon bits that are in it will probably be spent so it won't remove chlorine or the fishy smell, but it is a good temporary fix that will keep large particles from floating around in the tank.. Stock up on filter cartridges to prevent this from ever needing to be done. I can only find them in packs of 2 on Amazon, but they are nice and cheap. OVERALL: I am VERY pleased with my purchase and am now a fan of Tetra products. This is definitely a well-built/designed aquarium. I definitely recommend it to anybody and everybody. I will make a review video when I have to replace the first filter cartridge. Oh and you don't have to worry about your fish being sucked into the impeller. It has a guard on it and even if it did, the water will still be crystal clear when you notice your fish is gone. Also, the sculpture in the center of my aquarium is the Marina 12205 Betta Kit Marble Sculpture .

I love this! I have several small tanks throughout the house (mostly in kids bedrooms for their Bettas). Of all the different tanks we've bought this is the best one by far! This has been the easiest tank to keep clean! So far I've only had to add water to keep the water level high, and occasionally wash off the clear plastic insert that is attached to the water fall. The water still looks crystal clear after months of use :D. My other tanks are nowhere near as nice (despite the same price range) and since buying this tank I've had to give the other tanks between 2-3 cleanings while this one keeps humming along perfectly. Must be an excellent filter by comparison! Its very quiet and all I hear is the waterfall, but even that is so quiet I have to be paying attention to notice it. Additionally, I love the round glass. My other tanks are square or half rounds, and I'm finding that the fully round design really showcases the fish so much better than the others. The bowl is glass, not plastic, so it doesn't get cloudy with time/cleaning. I was worried about the black base and cover looking too utilitarian, but with the soft curves it somehow blends just fine with my more expensive furnishings, and since it stays so clean I've brought it out into my living room. It has become a nice water feature for my guests. The only thing I wish were improved is the light. Its not very bright. It's dim enough that it would work well as a nightlight for kids who need a little light, but I was hoping for something that really lit up the tank during the daytime to make it sparkle, and be a more noticeable and attractive feature in the room (Oh well, not a big deal). I think two light settings would be a nice upgrade, so you can have "dim" or "bright". The current light is so dim they might as well get rid of the cover all together and just allow it to be fully open at the top. I wish it were less expensive too (though well worth its current price of $39) simply because I'd like to replace all my other tanks with this same one....if only to save time on cleanings :D I think $25-$30 would be a more appropriate price range given the competition. My other tanks are relatively new as well so replacing them at $40 each isn't reasonable. I wish I'd bought this one first so I knew how great it is! Since the tank has stayed so clean with our King Betta (which kids tend to overfeed), I'm tempted to buy another one of these bowls to try with a school of small fish like guppies or neon tetra or similar. I'll update my post if/when I try that :)

At first, I was extremely excited when I saw this tank on a pet-store website. It was just about the best thing. I mean, an aquarium with a waterfall? I was enthralled. So, I did some research, and was drawn further to this aquarium when I read reviews of the filter, and how quiet it was. I have one male Crowntail Betta, Fluffy, and he seemed petrified when I brought him home and put him in his old tank with an extremely loud filter. I soon discovered that the filter bothered him, but there was nothing that I could do, because the tank became pretty cloudy pretty fast when I removed the filter. So, I bought him on a Saturday, and on Sunday, I ordered him this aquarium. I selected Amazon's Super Saver Shipping, and received my package 5 days after I had ordered it. I was very excited to have my new tank, and immediately got to work opening up the package and starting to assemble the tank. I got out the instructions, and they were fairly easy to understand, with one exception: the illustration of the filter on the instructions was rather misleading, and I put it in backwards! It got water all over my kitchen table, and I was a little miffed. I unplugged the aquarium, and closely examined the instructions once more. Then, I tried putting the filter in the other way, and it worked. When I finally got around to taking the tank out of my kitchen and up to my bedroom, its new permanent home, my fish was a little stressed out. I had placed him in a small plastic cup with some water from his old aquarium, and he was darting around nervously. So, I tried to make the transition as quick and painless as I could, WITH THE WATERFALL OFF. This is very important! If you are transferring the fish into its new tank, DO NOT have the waterfall and filter on! Your fish will probably go insane, or at least freak out a little bit. I gave Fluffy about five minutes to explore, and then turned on the waterfall. A couple of hours later, I went to bed, and when I woke up the next morning, he was still very nervous and stressed out. Things have not improved. The waterfall leaves a grimy, thick resin on anything near wherever it is sitting, and it is almost impossible to remove without a chemical cleaning solution. This is very irritating. Also, the current is much to strong for a Betta fish. I don't even leave the waterfall on. It is a useless feature, and is much more trouble than its worth. It is such a downfall. I really wanted to fall in love with this aquarium, but I just don't see how I can. There are too many cons, and I will probably be giving this away soon, or selling it. Bottom line, do not buy this product. It is much too expensive for what you end up with, and you would be much better off buying a less expensive tank WITHOUT a waterfall. It has caused me so much trouble, and the upkeep if you want to keep it going all the time just isn't worth it.

I love mine, and the betta loves it too (particularly making his 'rounds' zipping around the perimeter like a blue race car). No problem with "crust" buildup, it gets cleaned and wiped up every two weeks, so if there's a crust then it's due to lack of proper cleaning. No undue splashing, most of the tiny droplets go straight up because of the waterfall's vertical angle and fall right back into the tank. Even when overfilled it doesn't splash outside of the tank. The bowl is a bit delicate, but since you're wanting to see through the glass with a minimum of distortion, the glass must be thin. I've banged into it a few times in cleaning and it has held up just fine. The waterfall isn't too strong when turned all the way down for the betta, and I've watched him swim directly into the bubbles just so that he gets pushed down to wriggle against the rocks. The one thing I'd improve on is separating the light and waterfall onto separate switches. I hate having to turn off his light when I feed him, and feeding with the waterfall is (obviously) a bad idea as it scatters the pellets.

I bought this fish tank on a whim. I was really high on disposable income so thought, hey why not buy something cool, a fish! Anyways I bought this fish tank, as well as some gravel and plants. I then proceeded to buy a few Tiger Barbs (not recommended for a smaller tank but I tried). Well, all but one died, who has been named Darwin. It's a month or so after purchase, and Darwin is happy. The tank looks great, but there are some negative side effects. Starting with the pros: I love the look, it's sleek, plain, and modern. The glass is well made and the light is great for a night light, and to see the fish at night. Overall, the durability is great, I have no issues, and everything is in working order. Moving on to the cons: The tank is a bit noisy, I tried using all the methods (filling the water to the near top, and adding the water bottle contraption), but it still ends up making a lot of noise. I also want to point out that the water evaporates very quickly without a cover, so this can be a nuisance. The filter also lacks strength and clogs a lot. This resulted in algae build up, nematode population boom, and a snail infestation (the snails were transported by leaves, then growth initiated from algae, nematodes were from gravel). The last negative, is the size. Yes, I know the size is stated, but I wish they made a larger model. This tank is so nice, and if the filter was just a bit stronger, and the tank a bit larger...I would be extremely satisfied. Overall...my fish is doing fine. He seems to like his home, and the snails and nematodes sure do as well. I gave him gravel, a few rocks, a nice coral glow in the dark (eco-friendly) house, and am working on getting him some bamboo! If you want a fish tank, I would say go for this one. It is definitively the best bang for your buck. Looking for suggestions on what filters to use, or what materials I use, just comment below. As for fish, if Darwin dies (let's hope not he seems happy) I will buy some tetras or smaller guppies...they will probably find the size more suitable.

After reading these reviews, I knew this was a good value but worried about two things: The quality of the glass and the potential for splashing from the waterfall. I'm pleased to say that neither of those concerns will be keeping me up at night now that I have the beautiful little tank set up on my desk. The glass may not be break-proof, but it's neither super thin nor badly constructed. In fact, it seems surprisingly robust, though of course I'm not anxious to put it to the test! As for the waterfall, I placed a relatively tall ornament--a fake stone tower--directly under the waterfall before turning it on and it doesn't act like it even wants to splash. The tower comes to about an inch under the surface of the water, and perhaps it's buffering the splash. In any event, I have the bowl right next to my computer without any worry. Two things I would change if I could: First, I'd add a switch for the filter so that it can be turned off without unplugging. That's just because I'm lazy. Second, I'd add a cover over the top of the filter assembly, purely for aesthetic purposes. Sitting back in my desk chair and looking at the tank at eye level, I can see directly into the assembly and it's just not a polished look. Minor really, though. Altogether very pleased with my purchase. It looks great, and I can't wait to start adding plants and a fish or two!

The product is mind blowing. But the issue was their was not any description about the type of adaptor that we have to use in India. The adaptor with the product can only be used outside India. So I had to change the adaptor available with the product.

Our 9yr old daughter got this for Christmas and keeps it in her room. Not noisy at all, actually very relaxing. We keep the water about 2" from the top and have never had the waterfall feature splash water so we don't have to worry about her furniture. My only complaint is that when you go to turn the light off, the top seems to flex a bit. "Marty", her Beta seems to love it :)
