Not sure about getting this to work
I think I need to do further research about this cable. I apparently mistakenly assumed it would take a standard microphone (like an SM58) plug it into the XLR connector and plug the USB connector into my computer USB port. The computer recognized that there was a microphone plugged into that USB port, but selecting it to test sound, nothing happened.

Zoom listeners heard a huge difference -- for the worse!
I got this because my Shure X2U seems to have an intermittent connection in the XLR plug, and rather than wiggle it and test it before each meeting, and risk it going out unexpectedly, I decided to try one of these cheaper replacements instead. I already noticed that my audio was noticeably quieter than the Shure, based on the bar position during audio testing. On the very first Zoom meeting with it, people immediately reported my audio was muffled. I switched back to the Shure and they were all astonished and delighted at the difference. So if you're looking for good sounding audio, so far this one seems like a dud. I bought two, so I'll try the other in case it's a defect in one unit only, and I'll update if I find anything significant.

Great quality!
Was surprised at the quality of the cable when I received it. Planned to use this as an interconnect between my computer and my phantom amp for my XLR calibration mic (Dayton EMM-6). Word of caution, however. This cable does NOT supply phantom power to mics that require it (such as the EMM-6). You will still need to use a phantom power amplifier in order to be able to use the mic. With that in mind, I think this would be a great cable.

Great for low power XLR 🎤 microphones.
Great for regular microphones. Do not buy if you think it will power your condenser mic. Would be cool if someone made a usb/powered device like this. But alas...

Does not work to connect Rode Ceramic => Phantom Power => DISINO USB => Computer
Was looking for a quick solution to using my Rode Ceramic SLR with a phantom power supply to provide input into the computer. It seems clear, a pre-amp, amplifier, or sound card is also needed (one that takes XLR). Never got more than 2% of 100% Sound signal out of the connection using this device.

Great value for price.
I used this to connect my Fishman Loudbox Mini D/I XLR output to the USB port of old Dell Laptop(does have Windows 10 update) then downloaded Audacity for recording voice and guitar. Nice clean signal. Use the instructions provided with the Disino to set up with the computer sound system. I am no sound engineer. Most searched websites say this is not doable without audio interface; maybe this device is exceptional. Count me thrilled.

Works as Expected
I think it is a fine piece of technology. I was a little disappointed that it did not work well with my ribbon microphone, but apparently that is because I ribbon mic probably needs some kind of power boost. I'm sure it works great with a condensor mic.

Works for the Sennheiser MKE600
Plug and play, has been working perfectly. Had it for over a month. Cable should be Long enough for most people. Good quality.
