Good pulley with great rope retention.
I've used this Factor 55 pulley and another pulley while winching at off angles and the Factor 55 works great. The rope retention flexible nubs work awesome for holding the winch line in while you are setting up the rigging. The other type I have the rope will fall out of the pulley if you are not putting constant tension on the rope while setting up the rigging . This pulley is a great design and I would recommend.

GOOD TO HAVE IN YOUR RECOVERY KIT
I have not used this yet and hope I never have to but will have it in my recovery kit and like an insurance policy when you need it it is to late to get it. It is well made and easy to use as a snatch block, much lighter than a steel snatch block with a wheel. I have seen videos of recovery rope being burned when using this and other snatch blocks that are not made of steel with a spinning wheel. My thought is if you are pulling line in so fast that it is heating up the snatch block you are moving to fast and possibly overloading the weakest link in your system, and for sure, it is not this snatch block.I have training in High and Low angle rescue but not in vehicle recovery so my expertise may be limited. As with anything get proper training from qualified instructors and practice using the equipment before you need it.

Works really well
This replaced a standard snatch block when I got a new winch with synthetic line. It works really well and is considerably lighter than the old snatch block. A lot of thought went into making these as the rope fits into the ring really well and the outside is tapered to reduce the contact area with the soft shackle. They also have a low friction coating. I’d like to get another, but they are pretty pricey for what they are, but all of these new circular snatch blocks are. This one looks like one of the best available. Highly recommended.

Nice idea
I had to by one to use to see what the hype was about. The coating on them is very smooth to help keep friction down. The fingers hold the winch rope in place during slack lines. I would use several of these all the time if the cost was at least half of what they are selling for. Everyone should have one nice recovery ring in their kit.

Great product
If the line goes slack or while I'm trying to set it up, the little finger nubs keep the rope winch line in place on the pulley.Fantastic design

Excellent
Great recovery ring. Lightweight. Not an absolute necessity but it does the same as a block but it’s neat.
