Great product, lousy delivery
I am very excited to have this product, but the delivery left a lot to be desired. It was shipped by UPS Freight. They called to set up a delivery time, and then cancelled that day because the truck they brought it in was too big for my neighborhood. Said they would call to set up a delivery the next day. It was two days later when they called. Delivery happened three days after the last day of the window shipping stated would happen. While on the phone with the dispatcher, I learned that UPS does not deliver up stairs, so they left these two 100+ lbs boxes on a wooden pallet in my garage, and now I have to hire them to move them upstairs to my apartment. And dispose of a pallet. If you live in a townhouse with steps or an apartment building, be aware that they will not bring it to your door and you will need to find storage until you can strong arm people into carrying them to your door.If you have stairs, I would recommend ordering directly through LifeSpan and choose the "Room of Choice" option ($99).

Great design and well made
I bought this walking desk after seeing a similar product in an office setting. It takes some getting used to and do not expect to be able to do all the things you might at a sitting desk. You will have to adapt your day-to-day office habits to be able to use this as a work desk. Fine for phone, reading email, ect, but hard to write notes and typing. Or rather, I should say, I have not mastered the ability to do so yet.The treadmill showed up in two large boxes, one was 80 pounds the other was 100 pound. The delivery guys will only bring it to your door so if you want it hauled to the upstairs or basement, better get a friend to help. Assembly was very easy and all tools needed were included. I was impressed by the quality of the materials and sturdiness of the desk. My only complaint is that the treadmill is a bit more noisy than I expected but you can still have a phone conversation without any problems.

Good in many ways
Sturdy, adjustable and a nice spacious surface. My only complaint is that the treadmill stops each and every time I step off of it. I am a physician and I am busy all day seeing patients so when I return to my treadmill desk to finish a patient's chart/write a prescription, etc I have to wait for the treadmill to slowly start back up to get back to my desired pace. Getting off and on repeatedly is a drawback for trying to keep an ongoing pace. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.

30-Day Review: LIFESAVER / from Dying to 215 Miles In 30 Days
30-Day Review:------Day 00 - my arms were getting shorter, could not wipe my... well, it was really the fat belly in the way... buy treadmill, please...Day 01 - lowest setting of 0.4mph was almost too fast for me... 5 hours later, had worked my way to 1.2mph... 4 miles total...Day 09 - missed a couple of days, so only 7 days of walking... lost 7 pounds, yet gained back 2 of those...Day 19 - hit a plateau for the past few days... so, today, I hit it hard by walking a total of 9 miles... still... total loss is 10 LBS...Day 30 - hit a 2nd plateau for the past few days... even after walking 15 miles and a couple of 13 mile days... at 16 LBS loss...------CONS:a) the WIFI on my MacBook Air is alright, yet the WIFI on my iPad Air is greatly degraded as far as screen touch commands...b) after Day 21, I was able to get over 3.0mph... tread displayed some sort of "slipping on ice" effect... need to oil the rollers?*c) some power cord issue... won't turn on... even a DC-1 error code in mid workout... wiggle the power plug and works, again... PROS:a) beautiful form & function... huge desktop area...b) I bought this item as a LIFE PRESERVER... since I was 68 LBS overweight... and simply felt like I was dying quickly... I still have 52 LBS to go, yet this viable concept of desk + treadmill, really gave me another chance at quality-of-life while living in this extremely depressing world... I went from struggling to breathe and unable to walk 0.4mph to being able to walk 215 miles in my first 30 days at a top speed of 3.6mph and a top distance of 15 miles... this treadmill is my life saver until I am able to move some place where people have some manners and it is pleasant to go outside...Thank you for reading...

actually attached to the tread mill and not so heavy this would be a better product. It takes more than one person to ...
This treadmill is very heavy. The desk is heavy as well and way to big. I opted to have it put together for free but no one ever came to do it. It does not fit in my office at all. The way the desk is made you can not put it flush with the wall. The desk is wider than the treadmill and then you have metal legs at the bottom that protrude on both sides. If the desk was half the size, actually attached to the tread mill and not so heavy this would be a better product. It takes more than one person to assemble.

Large Sturdy Desk Top...
Nice sturdy desk, quiet treadmill. I'm still getting used to the whole thing. It's a little hard to walk and type or use the mouse to play games where precision is required, but for web surfing, and reading e-books and emails, it's great. You don't even realize you're walking when you're busy. Lots of room on the desk top. I have a desktop computer, but I keep the tower on my low desk right next to the treadmill. It would fit on top, but I have a lot of other things on there; calendar, lamp, clock, notebooks, etc. When I need to be steady on the keyboard, I use a light weight stool with a round base right on the treadmill. (Winsome Spectrum ABS Airlift Swivel Stool) So far I am pleased with the whole setup.

Motor and control board died a few months after the warranty expired
Will never buy another Lifespan product. This treadmill received very light use during the three years I owned it (30 minutes a day Mon-Fri on average). A few months after the warranty expired, the motor died and the control board went out. The motor costs $450 from the manufacturer, and a used control board is $250 (and probably twice that from Lifespan). Considering the cost of repair, I gave up on this treadmill desk and purchased a model with more features from NordicTrak for 30% less than what I paid for this one.
