How much weight can the boxes hold? (Has weight capacities been tested?)

We used these boxes to move a lot of books and other media and - with a bit of extra strengthening using brown tape - they held as much as my husband could lift. They are very strong and were the best boxes we found to use.

Are these good to pack dishes in?

Yes they are strong and durable cardboard boxes, packed up all the kitchen utensils, crockery, dinner service etc using these boxes for the move and nothing was damaged during transit. Of course you would need to use bubble wrap for extra protection.

Would these boxes be big enough and strong enough to carry 12" vinyl records? Thanks

Yes I reckon they would. Helped me move things like loads of books, DVDs, and lots of vinyl records.

47cm x 31.5cm x 25cm = 37 litres and not 44 litres. if the dimensions are correct then the storage capacity of 44 litres in incorrect. can you clarify

Just measured a box, they are 27cm high, not 25cm. Don't know about litres, but that is probably much closer to the figure given.
