Great motherboard - I bought it twice!
I liked this motherboard so much I bought it twice. Both are being used in SFF builds using a Ryzen 5600G and a 5500. XMP setup was really easy and worked first-time with two brands of RAM sticks. I built both with NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards, and do some moderate gaming and they work well. Wifi works well, good set of ports, NVME slot. Sure, it's not a gaming motherboard, but I love that it's AM4, is solid hardware, and can be built for much less, and works well for what I need.

Perfect entry level, or in my case, perfect size for a test bench.
After years of using an ATX board for testing items to sell online, I decided to save space. I paired up with an AMD 3200G for the onboard graphics, freeing up the PCIe slot for whatever I need to test. While not the ideal CPU for gaming, fast enough for my needs, and I can add my spare GPU to the carry case and take it on the road if needed. Using a Thermalright AXP90 keeps the CPU cool, there is no fan noise, so I sometime forget it's on. If your case has front panel USB C, you may want to buy the the level MB, to keep the USB 3.2 speed. I haven't found an adapter that supports over 2.0. Other than that, a fair amount of USB ports on the back panel, for basic needs. The WiFi connected without the antenna's attached, that was unexpected. Five months of swapping peripherals for testing, the board passed the durability test, doing the job I need it to do. Most boards are being rebuilt daily.

Good inexpensive AM4 board
After a number of system upgrades, I found myself with a DDR4 memory kit, an ITX case and a 5600G without a home. I bought this board and a boot drive to assemble a low power system. Everything I put in was recognized out of the box, Windows install was straightforward and I've had zero issues with it. It's got the a520 chipset, so it's limited to 26 lanes of PCIe gen 3. It doesn't support overclocking and has a fairly basic VRM, so it's not the best choice for gaming. It only has 2 memory slots, one PCIe slot and one M.2 slot so expansion options are limited. If you understand it's limitations and can live within them, it's a great board. For this system I have no need to overclock and the 16 Gb of memory I have in it is all it will ever need. It recognized the XMP memory timings and runs it at the advertised 3600 mHz. Sitting here typing this review while streaming video from a media server it's drawing 31 watts, including the monitors. I can use it for light gaming and I have 6 TB of storage on it backing up some less important stuff. If you're building a gaming system I'd spend the extra money for a more fully featured B550 or X570 board, but for a fast, low power desktop this is an excellent choice.

Nice board, no real documentation, BIOS boots really slow.
I like the board, but its lack of a manual though did find one online is disappointing. Also, there is no driver disk included anymore like it was with previous boards. I tried to install Windows 11, but it kept asking for a raid_ahci driver, but the one on Gigabytes web site Windows says it is not compatible. I will try Windows 10 and see what happens. Linux on secondary drive from a different motherboard just worked, no issue at all. Update: I did finally get Windows 10 and Windows 11 installed using the Microsoft Installation Assistant. The iso did not work for me and would not accept the drivers on Gigabytes website. I think they might not have been signed drivers. Update 2: So, I have been using this board for awhile now and it seems like a nice board aside from a few quirks. First, the bios is limited in the options it shows, not at all like my previous Gigabyte boards. Also, the information that shows on the screen when booting is almost non-existant. The bios of my previous boards showed processor, memory, and what hard drives are connected. Not anymore. Now, if you want that information at boot, you have to actually go into the bios or press the boot menu key F12. Also, the BIOS boots really slow on this board. The BIOS on the board that this one replaces boots a lot faster and it is over 10 years old. Second, my display port stopped working. I even bought a second VGA to Display Port adapter, no go. Luckily, the HDMI ports work with my VGA to HDMI adapter so I will keep the board. It is funny though that initially the Display Port worked, but then all of sudden it did not work anymore. I really should give the board only 3 stars, but I do like the performance so far so I will leave the 4 stars.

Awsome motherboard
Great motherboard for its size. When trying to do a small form factor its very practical. Plues ive had issue with the BIOS update and because of a feature you can easily fix a bricked BIOS in minutes just using a usb drive

In a pricey niche market, you can do all kinds of mITX builds with this on the cheap and not skimp.
The cost of miniITX builds is creeping up as it becomes a niche market for gamers, but the truth is no body likes chonky computers. After putting off an Intel rebuild of one of my HTPCs over and over I strayed into the AMD realm and found two things, a range of affordable APUs (Ok no surprise here, I knew they were good on this front) but also quality mITX boards like this for under $100. I ended up being pleasantly surprised with how much power I ended up with here vs any old intel cpu build I would have done at any where near the same cost. The gigabyte board doesn't feature much for the performance enthusiast and it lacks anything but the most basic VMU cooling, but it still has all the things we should expect from any and every motherboard we buy today. Quality brand components, a GUI based bios, enough fan headers, Wifi, usb3.x ports galore. Of course a big score for the AMD crowd is the AM4 socket just supports several generations of CPUs allowing you to choose one for your budget. Oh and finally I think one of the biggest scores on this motherboard is the 2.x hdmi. I found all the inexpensive intel boards rolled around with 1.4 hdmi ports, but I needed something capable of 4k HDR 60hz.

The Little Motherboard That Could (Proven Quality)
I built a Mini-ITX PC around this Gigabyte A520I AC a few years ago, and I have had zero issues. It works perfectly to this day. It’s a great board for a small form factor build. The Direct 6 Phases Digital PWM is solid, even for powering a mid-range Ryzen CPU. It handled the initial setup like a champ, and the built-in Wi-Fi/AC has always been stable. If you're building a compact AM4 system, this board offers genuine proven Gigabyte quality and reliability. It’s a set-it-and-forget-it component.

dont buy this e-waste, its so terrible i may throw it out.
Plugged in the usb2 connecter but when unplugging it as carefully as possible it pulled the connector off of the motherboard. Hopefully it still works as all the pins looked to be okay but how dissapointing for a brand new board. additionally system fan 2 uses a special plug because screw anyone who wanted to use it without buying an adapter also dont set up ultra fast boot as there is no way to get back to the bios afer doing such unless you want to remove the cmos battery and the q-flash button does nothing at all from what i can tell. UPDATE, after having owned it for six months and having to reset the pc and reinstall windows the built in wifi quit working and dosnt even acknowledge that there is a wifi card at all. updating bios did not fix it nor did updating windows (which i cant even update from windows 10 now since having to resete it it keeps getting stuck on an update and i cannot find any soloutions for this) additionaly the fan settings in the bios never work correctly. if you have high speed fans this can make your pc unbearable to use when they decide max speed despite the temp being fine.

Works well
Set up an extra small PC using this. Cheap for ITX. Really tiny. Never felt anything is amiss. AM4 still rocks, especially with cheap processors and cheap RAM available.

Great little motherboard
Just wanted a small form factor motherboard, to do the job, and it delivers. Pairs great with my 5600G and handy in a small itx case.
