Excellent Pack!!
This is the newest iteration of the Redwing series of backpacks from Kelty. Let me tell you this pack is great! Despite some reviewers saying they have noticed a decline in materials and the pack feeling cheaper, this pack is absolutely phenomenal. The Redwing's heritage is very evident in this model and is just as capable if not more so than the previous series. The front organization pocket seems to be a point of contention for the Redwing. This is not a problem for this pack as it is very large and can accommodate just about any of your smaller items in it. The front stuff sack is also very useful for gloves, hats, rainflys, tarps or any wet clothing. The side pockets are HUGE and can fit a 1000 ml Nalgene bottle, albeit it is a little tight. The molle webbing on the bottom also allows you to be able to strap on a tent or sleeping pad. I recently did just that for a 3 day, 2 night weekend trip in and around the Two Harbor/Duluth area in a few state parks. The pack performed flawlessly and was more comfortable than I have ever imagined. I am a bigger chested, broader shouldered man of about 6', 225 pounds. Other packs seem uncomfortable for me now after using this new Redwing. I bought the new North Face Terra 50 and although that pack is very nice, and would work well for someone smaller, I opted to trade it in for the Redwing at my local Scheels. The straps on this pack are wide and thick and feel wonderful when the pack has some weight in it. The straps also are adjustable with an adjustable suspension system. The aluminium bar also diverts most of the packs weight to the hips adding to the comfort of the pack. Overall, this pack is amazing. For the quality, and the price for that quality, it cannot be beat.

Perfect!
I love hiking and really want to start backpacking. I am very pleased with this purchase. I have not taken it backpacking, but "broke it in" on a 6-mile day hike. I am a church youth leader and used this as my luggage for our recent weekend winter camp. No complaints! I love the stash pouch between the front and main compartments- I kept my gloves and beanie there. The side pockets are extremely roomy. I fit so much in those (water filter, fire starter, emergency whistle, emergency poncho, med-kit, power bank, and Leatherman multi-tool). The shoulder and hip straps are very plush and comfortable, yet strong. With its "perfect fit" adjustment system, I can see this working for most people. I am a very lean 6'2" male 154lbs. I have a relatively small waist and had to cinch the hip belts almost all the way to get them snug. However, it worked and I think the average human would have absolutely no problems with the pack.p.s. extra bonus with the "loop handles" (for lack of a better term) attached to the zippers. They make it sooo easy to open and close the compartments. Great Job Kelty! Seller did a great job with shipping and packaging- very impressed!

Great fit. Hammock friendly. Travel friendly. Fits most covers.
Excellent bag. Adjustable fit. I'm 5 ft 11in and pretty skinny. The top digs into your neck a bit if you're short. Ive been using mine for a few months now and it's awesome. No visible sign of wear. Distributes weight well. Carried 35lbs for 3 hours with minimal pain. I use mine for hammocking, so i strap it to a tree and the pockets are perfectly placed for easy access. Fits as a carry on in airplanes. I've never run out of space packing for a trip or campout. Not enough places to strap extras too, but I've never really needed to.

Excellent backpack
I used this backpack for 2 nights 3 days hikes recently. it distributed 30lbs pack weight to my hips well. I was very comfortable hiking 12 mile and 14 miles hikes in 2 days. The shoulder straps were easy to adjust. side pockets were pleasant surprise as I was able to insert tent poles and trekking poles which i did not use whole hiking. It carried my 32 oz nalgene bottles fine in its side mesh pockets. Only thing lacking was dedicated sleeping bag compartment. I had to change my routines where I have to unpack everything in order to settle in. Usually, I like to setup tent, sleeping pad and bag first before unpacking the rest. This may not be big deal or issue for other people. Overall this will be my go to pack for 1 nighter for 10+ miles hike in camping. Best part is how well tis backpack is made for its price. I will be purchasing 85 L Coyote pack next.

best bag!
Amazing backpack!! I was a bit skeptical at first about this bag but after watching a few video reviews on YouTube I gave it a shot and really am satisfied with my experience. I travelled with it around Asia for 2 months and never had a problem. It's solid, spacious and has a lot of pockets. If you compress it enough you can carry it with you as a "carry-on" in the airplane (I never had to check it in) even as a 50L backpack.I was comparing this bag a lot with different models of Osprey (quite expensive brand) and this bag destroys them in every way. You will not regret this purchase!

Recommend!
I used this for 6 weeks on a Euro and UK trip spring/summer 2018. I loved it. Good back and hip support. For the most part didn't mind carrying it around. Your back will get sweaty but for the price I'm not complaining. The Osprey ones with airflow are way more expensive and only top loading. I really liked that the straps have little eleastics attatched to roll up the excess strap hanging so less likely they will get caught up. I wish you could pack away the straps but by clipping em around each other it was all good. I usually put my rain cover (bought separately) on "backwards" and if I had bought it a tad bigger it would if been perfect for checking it. Slipped off a few times but didn't lose it. I think I could of only used it as my carry-on on most airlines but I didn't as I had too many liquids anyways so I checked it and my husband carried on his carry-on as it was a bit bigger then his and didn't wanna risk it not fitting anyways. It fit a lot and packed full weighed approx 24 lbs.

Light weight, Perfect adjustment to fit the user properly. Carries more than enough with lots of back support and tons of air flow.
