Perfect fit for iPad Air 4th gen 2020!
[Update six years later: This has been just an awesome case since I got it with my Air 4 back in 2020. But after nearly six years, it's finally starting to wear and peel and fall apart a bit, so I just ordered a new one! Really nice to see they're still available. I can recommend this case without reservation to anyone with a compatible device!] This is a review of ASIN B07HQCDYTK described as "ESR Magnetic Case for iPad Air 4 2020 10.9 Inch / iPad Pro 11 2018 [Convenient Magnetic Attachment] [Trifold Smart Case] [Auto Sleep/Wake Cover] Rebound Series, Black" Noting this in case the listing changes or they re-use it for a different case later. Ok, I figured this was going to be a re-purposed 11" 2018 Pro case, which is probably true but it fits the Air 4 perfectly! It uses the magnetic attachment points so there's no plastic shell gripping and obscuring the edges of the device. It's just one big wraparound rigid flap that sticks to the back with a few ounces of magnetic force. The front magnetically connects and wakes/sleeps the device when you open/close it. The front flap has the usual three-section construction with two flexible points so it can wrap around on itself to make a triangular table stand that works well if you want to set it up to watch a movie etc. The closure flap has two magnetic positions, one tight and one with space for the Apple Pencil underneath it. It will also adhere to the back of the top flap when it is wrapped around the back when it's in use and so nothing dangles, it all smartly sticks together in both open and closed configurations. The closure flap fits very close to the surface so the easiest way of opening it is to slide it off towards the edge to get a grip on it, or you can use the "pencil" flap position where the extra protrusion of the flap loop gives you a spot to get ahold of it easily. The case extends maybe 1/16" out past the edge of the device all the way around so it provides some protection from bumps and scratches when closed. The surface is very smooth, especially with dry hands. I would have preferred some actual texture to the surface, but this should be fine. Even closed, this is going to provide little if any protection against edge impacts if you drop it on a hard surface like concrete and I would not expect the screen to necessarily survive that. But as a screen protector against scratches and to overall keep your iPad looking great as well as offering reasonable protection against day to day wear and tear it works great. It does add substantial weight to the device but this also makes it feel a bit more rugged and substantial and less like something fragile that you have to be super careful with. Overall I am extremely impressed and happy with this case, and it seems to be one of, if not the, best low-cost case options for the Air 4 at release, and it's inexpensive enough to get as a starter case while we wait to see if someone produces some super-sexy alternative later on. Recommended!

Very good quality all around
The color is true to the image on the listing. I purchased the powder blue color. I found it to be easy to wipe down if dirt got on it, but be careful using it in the kitchen or at a cafe on a dirty table. That goes for any light colored case really. I love the magnetic strap closure since it protects the Apple Pencil when it is attached to the iPad. I found the magnets that hold the iPad to be very strong, but I wouldn't go slinging it around obviously. Please note that the edges of the iPad are exposed. There is a very small amount of cover that extends past the iPad on the front and back, but your edges are exposed. The ability to stand up the iPad or sit it at an angle with the case folded back worked very well. The camera cutout on the back fit the camera perfectly. Because the edges are exposed, the power button was very easily accessible for Touch ID on my iPad Air. I used mine for two months and it still looked brand new. I ended up selling my iPad to a friend, with the cover, and he loves it just as much as I did.

Great Quality
I love this iPad case. The magnetic strength is excellent and holds onto my iPad very securely, even if I hold it upside down. At the same time, the iPad is still easy to remove when I want to take it out, which makes the case really convenient. One of my favorite features is the foldable latch that keeps the Apple Pencil secured. It makes me feel much more comfortable carrying my iPad around because I do not have to worry about the pencil falling off or getting lost. The magnetism has also stayed strong over time and has not worn down. The case fits my iPad Air 11 perfectly and does not add a lot of unnecessary bulk like some other cases do. I love the color, and it has not faded over time. The case has also stayed pretty clean with just an occasional wipe-down. It also provides great protection. When the cover is closed, my iPad feels very secure, and I have dropped it multiple times without any damage to the iPad. Overall, this is a high-quality, protective, slim, and practical case that I would definitely recommend.

Good Case
I quite like this iPad case, but in no way is it protective. It's sleek and modern, with no protection on the sides of the iPad since the edges are flush right up against the edges. This makes buttons very accessible, as well as having a good grip on the iPad itself. The magnetic backing of the case is quite strong, so it's not easy for the case to slip off of the iPad. The inside of the case is some type of microfiber texture (im not entirely sure what it is from the top of my head) so getting it clean is quite a task. Overall, it's a good case if you're looking for something that's easy to adjust in, easy to charge, and the right size for your iPad Air m4.

Solid
Compared to a regular folio case this one feels really sturdy, especially when the pencil flap is secured. This ESR looks like a standard Apple folio except for that flap. It functions the same. But is maybe a little better made? The flap is unobtrusive when flipped back. It magnetically snaps to the back cover and has only a small hump. Maybe if you were working with the tablet flat on a desk it would cause a little rocking. I haven't noticed it.…And when the case is closed and the pencil is in place it wraps very snuggly around the stylus and snaps to the front cover. The magnet is strong. And the flap protects both ends of the pencil. You'd really need to jostle things around in your backpack to knock the pencil loose. The reasons I have for preferring a folio case over something more protective have grown over the years. Initially it was cheap and I wanted to have the folding cover as a grip for my hand. Hanging onto a flat object, like the tablet itself, no longer works for me. Then I found it necessary to have a case that doesn't obstruct the charging port so that I can use microphones without needing an adapter, which could make the connection insecure. Third, I found that I want a case that's easy to remove. If I want to switch to a keyboard case I want both folio and keyboard to detach without a lot of fuss (I had a nice ESR keyboard that was so snug that I was afraid of damaging the tablet getting it in and out—had to return it). And now I have a Sketchboard Pro that requires the removal of any tablet case.

Updated Review: OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE, Got the correct case
UPDATED REVIEW: What's really remarkable is that Kate from ESR customer service stayed with the process the entire time from sending the original replacement to checking in to sending ANOTHER replacement at no cost to me to checking in again, to finally finding the right case through looking at the iPad type and sending it to me a THIRD time at no cost to me. I've ordered many things off of Amazon over the years, but it's easy to say that I've never had customer service this good, and I didn't even ask for it originally. The new case works well, but the fact that this company would stay with a product review and be so active from a customer service standpoint makes it remarkable and worth five stars. For what it's worth, I think the case is plenty durable and nice that I can't imagine having to send it back ever, but their customer service and standing behind the quality of their products has me looking at what else I can order from them -- I have no doubt they'd back it with actions. I am updating from my original one-star review. As is the case with another reviewer, the challenge might have been with the labeling for a brand new M4 iPad. I say this because the ESR team reached out to me on their own to see what they could do to make my sitaution better. After TWO attempts to find the right case, we finally figured out that the M4 requires a stronger magnet, and that this case had accidentially been mislabeled as fitting the M4. ORIGINAL REVIEW: When trying this for the fist time, I would advise doing so over a soft surface. The magnet sure doesn’t seem to work at all, so I’m glad I had my hands on the case and iPad before trying it — the iPad slipped right out. This would offer absolutely no protection from the iPad falling out. I have the new Magic Keyboard, so I know what the magnetic attachment should feel like — this doesn’t have that. Otherwise, it is an attractive and slim case.

Amazing product.
Strong magnetic hold, accurate color, perfect for writing and drawing. However protection is not that great since the sides are not covered.

Great Case/Cover
I've had this case for around a month. I ordered the green version for my iPad Air 5. It fits perfectly, none of the speakers or other ports or blocked or hidden. My Apple Pencil gen 2 can fit in the case even while wearing a thin pencil cover. The case came on time and arrived undamaged. The color online was pretty accurate to the color in person, which was great. Set-up was simple- you literally just put the back of your ipad against the case and it snaps on via magnets. Just keep in mind that your iPad has to be 'naked' and without a pre-existing cover/case on it already. Magnet strength: The magnet strength in my personal opinion is alright to fair. It certainly isn't going to randomly fall out whenever you open it but I did run into a situation where I grabbed the case by the cover flap when it slipped out my hand and the jolt of it stopping abruptly in mid-air caused the ipad to unstick from the magnets and hit the couch. I wouldn't buy this if you're looking for 360 heavy duty protection. Or something with insane magnet strength. I also did a 'shake test' and my ipad definitely fell out onto my bed. Protection: This case will protect the back of your ipad, the screen when covered and your Apple Pencil (when the case is closed and the flap is over the pencil). It offers minimal protection but keep in mind that *because* it offers minimal protection, they were able to make it this thin and light. Weight: Barely there! It compliments the 'Air' part of my iPad Air extremely well. I actually bought this because I had another case that offers more protection at the expense of it being a LOT heavier. This case is very light and doesn't add to the weight of your device. It also has an extremely slim profile. My final notes: This is a great case if you want something that is clean, minimal and very light. Keep in mind that when you want a product that fits into these categories, you are not going to have heavy duty protection. If you want protection for the sides of your device, this is probably not the case/cover for you and that's fine! Pick something that fits what you want :) ESR makes tons of different products and you might find something else that fits what you want. Final Thoughts: I really have no complaints about anything regarding this case . It's light, it;s slim, comfortable to use when writing because it doesn't have a rim around the device. Rims tend to hurt my wrist after some time pressing against it when writing. It's a great color match to what I saw online as well. It fits into my small bag very well, fit's my Pencil and the sleeve over my Pencil. It has auto wake and sleep. Putting the iPad inside is very simple and I never have to worry about scratching the finishing off my Ipad when trying to get it in or out of the case (I've had cases before that damaged a previous iPad when trying to take the device out of the case). I liked it so much that I actually bought my friend one as a birthday gift. She loves it too! 5/5 stars! Very satisfied!

Bra
Bra men har bara en inställning för att ha den stående alltså inte massa olika lutningar. Utan den står bara på ett sätt.

Good case, strong magnets, fits well
Good travel case to prevent scratches, it’s no rugged case and should not be expected to protect much from bumps, drops and knock. The material feel is great, the magnets hold my iPad Pro (M1) 12.9” well and securely, props up the iPad in the same two angles since the first iPad Smart Cover so if you like that, this one does that well too. Good quality but nothing fancy, reasonably priced, protects the front and back when you throw the iPad in a bag.

Good quality and affordable
Got it today and it’s really a great alternative to apple’s smartfolio case. The quality is same as the apple and its cheaper. Great buy for Ipad users.
