Same boat - button layout 5 in Forza 6 and Forza Horizon 3 will turn your paddle shifters into gas/brake, which is fartin awesome. Unfortunately, it's an on/off gas/brake, no progressive pressure feature, but still, great two hands on the wheel, look mom, no feet experience.

can this work for xbox one

Yes, if you attach it to the Thrustmaster TX 458 Italia wheel. It will not make the Thrustmaster T300 wheel work on the X Box One.

No its just the wheel rim you need a base for this wheel rim.

Can I remove the d-pad and put it aftermarket wheel??

Not that I know of. Looks like it part on its design underneath the actual wheel.
