Anytime you see “flavor” on a truffle product, run. That equals chemical additives. And white truffles can’t be cooked with because heat saps the flavor/aroma. What is the latin/scientific name of the truffle used in the oil produced by truffle hunter, and any synthetic additives in truffle hunter oil?

The oil tastes awful and I ended up throwing them away after first try.

What is the shelf life per bottle? Does it last longer in the fridge?

Yes, keep it in the fridge. I mainly make truffle butter, so I don’t use a lot at a time. Looking at the last time I ordered, it lasted about a 1 1/2 years, but I keep it in the fridge. It will turn to a semi solid state, so I let it come to room temperature, which doesn’t take long and then back in the fridge.

What's the difference between this one and the 35 dollar set, aside from size (3.4 oz vs 8.45oz)?

I have both sizes (Have ordered the larger one more recently--seems to be a much better buy). The ingredients listed appear to be the same, but that would be a good question for the manufacturer to answer. The pouring spout is larger on the larger bottle. I have not noticed a difference in taste.
