Excellent Value for Money!
I brought this watch as a replacement for work as my old one had taken an absolute battering.I work in a very physical field and more than one of my watches has come off worse for wear as a result, but so far this watch is standing up to the challenge more than admirably.Considering it's low cost (I only paid about £47 direct from Amazon EU) it has features such as solar power recharging, luminous hands, date function, pass through easy to use and very comfortable 22mm NATO strap, and is so far very accurate.I think the only thing this watch is missing is the indiglo feature, but this wasn't a deal breaker for me because if the face of the watch/luminous hands get exposed to enough sunlight they're easily readable in the dark.I've paired my watch with a small compass on the band and it's absolutely a perfect fit and doesn't interfere with the band on my wrist in the slightest. The one I've used, as seen in my photos is a: Sun Company Wrist Turtle -... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ISZ02P2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

A reasonable watch for the price
I bought this to replace my old sports watch. It is a nice looking watch, not too big, and does what I want it to do - to tell the time and the date. It is also water resistant, though not a divers watch. The main appeal is that it is a solar watch, so no need to break the watertight seal to replace the battery. My only gripe is that the strap is on the small side. I don't have a large wrist, but I can only just fasten the Velcro strap. It would definitely not fit someone with a large wrist.

Great watch - a few dissapointing points though.
I like solar watches - hardly an maintenance required. It's very comfy, and I never notice it while wearing. I'm a huge fan of velcro straps and fabric straps. as I'm a very active service tech, custom car/bike builder so fancy straps and gizmos are pointless for me.Seems to keep time really well (so far). Its not overly heavy.I's a good practical size.My only quibbles are that the face isn't scratch resistant - in fact it's quite soft compare to other watches i've owned. There is no light at all- a minor irritation - but the hands do keep their luminosity very well.

Very Nice Watch
This is a very attractive, extremely light (but still rugged and well-built), comfortable watch. Shockingly, the leather strap is actually made in the USA (by S.B. Foot Tanning Co. of Red Wing, Minnesota), although I very much doubt the rest of the watch is at this price point. The only thing holding this watch back from perfection is the lack of photoluminescent hour markings, only the hands glow in the dark.

Reasonable for a relatively cheap watch but no INDIGLO
I have a few cheap and cheerful TIMEX watches which have been very reliable and usually come with an INDIGLO backlight which is useful in the world of the outdoors. This watch arrived today, seems a similar quality to the other battery powered versions BUT unlike the description there is NO INDIGLO, it is disappointing and is less useful at night, especially in the winter months. It would have got 4 stars had there been a backlight. They are also more expensive than just a few years ago, like double the price, so that is disappointing given the cheaper nature of the watch. I quite like the relatively loud ticking sound, based on my other watches this doesn't mean that it will be less accurate, or less robust, in fact the TIMEX watches (I am a bit of a collector) are some of the most reliable and have an extremely long battery life in my experience (the battery versions). I am guessing that INDIGLO is missing due to this being a solar watch as it would be too much a drain on battery life!?

SOLAR ???
I bought this waach in April 2023. It recently stopped working so I placed it in direct sunlight assuming it will recharge it as it is a "solar" watch. Nothing happened. I opened the back up to find a bog standard quartz movement inside, there is nothing solar about this watch unless I've misunderstood the term solar to mean recharges the battery. Such a shame as I love it. Doubt I will get a refund as its been too long since purchase.

Timex expedition watch
Shipping very fast, expected Monday and arrived Sunday.Good well made watch and the strap is nice looking and robust.Down sides are that the bezel does not rotate, also I own a Timex indiglo from the 1990s which seems more solid as it's metal and it has a light but this watch is just a standard watch with 3 hands. The other up sides are that is is water resistant to 50 meters ( would not use for swimming though but ok to get wet), also the strap stops the metal rubbing on skin where dirt and sweat can get, the other good point is it is solar. I think for what it is the price a bit much and this one was on offer. I think the price is for the watch being solar and the "Timex" brand name. It will make a good sturdy work watch though. It is not much use at night or in the dark as the hands are not very luminous and no light but if you want just a watch with date that looks good and is sturdy and robust then this one is for you. If the solar charging works as it says then it will save on batteries too.
