Aggressive, premier and unwavering. Those were words we used to describe the highly esteemed Vigilante 2. 3 and they still ring true for these wider brethren. We simply dreamt of ripping trails on wider versions of our favorite aggressive mountain tire. Square-lugged knobs still deliver unwavering traction, yet with added height to ensure they dig even deeper into loose, unpredictable terrain. An updated sipping arrangement places emphasis on cornering forces, while the larger knobs don't discriminate against shamelessly forceful cornering or reckless braking. Increased circumferential spacing allows the tread to remain clear through sloppy conditions, while still keeping the casing protected from spiteful rocks.

Favorite Front Tire
This is hands down my favorite front tire for anywhere. Does great in the rocks/roots, dry and wet. It just hooks up! Good casing too! Well done WTB

great traction, but heavy
I got the 2.5 x 29" and have it on the front wheel of a hard tail single speed. It installed just fine, without too much effort. I immediately noticed that it is a heavy tire. That' the trade-off for how much protection/tear resistance it has. I ride in the desert southwest - from dry hard pack to loose dirt/rock (nothing wet/muddy). It's the widest tire I've ever ridden on the front. That, and the side knobbies provide really good traction when cornering. Its a great tire if you want the traction and stability and can live with the extra weight.

best traction ever!
if your looking for the best traction on dry marbles like i ride on this tire is by far the best i have ever used! still trying to find the point where it will slide out on me but so far it has never let loose! i ride hard desert with loose on top so its not easy to find a good tire for this ive tried them all and this one is by far the best ever!

The best.
Everybody follows the Maxxis herd but if you want an enduro tire for all conditions that rolls well and has great durability this tire is really hard to beat. No weird transition when you lean it over into a turn so cornering feel and grip is exceptional. It's a sleeper choice but you won't regret it.I went for greener pastures for a good year or so ( Maxxis) and then came back. The difference is pretty marked for me.

This tire has an appetite for it all
Riding all over Arizona eats everything with pleasure, loose flat turns to chunk rocks. Yum. Cheaper than whatever else you’re looking at, double casing a bit heavy, ran the light fast roll trail boss in the rear and popped countless DH casing maxxis and I rode that trail boss to the wire. Won’t be buying another brand/ tire combo until someone puts me on their own bike with different tires and proves me wrong.

Excellent side wall protection BUT tread wears out to fast
Excellent side wall protection BUT tread wears out way too fast. Tried it in the rear tread knobs worn 80% down in less than 200 miles Tire grip performance very noticeably different when tread won down 60% 80% tread depth wear tire worn out. That is about 20 rides for me which works out to $3.50 a ride. The front tire looks 25% worn down in same amount of time. Super thick casing excellent against cut & puncture. I ride mostly rocky terrain with plenty of sharp rocks to slice side walls. Never had a tire wear down so quick before. No other complaints just can't justify using tire that tread wears so quickly.

Grip great, Durability great, longevity not the greatest
Good tire. It rolls OK, but grips everything well. The 2 ply held up to many sharp rocks and Texas goat head thorns. The wear was rather fast but even worn, it gripped fairly well. I was riding a lot of rocky terrain with this tire. So, that's a contributor.I would consider buying this again if it was under $65

Great grip, horrible longevity
The grip and cornering traction for this tire were great and inspired alot of confidence compared to the butchers that came stock on my Enduro. However the wear for this tire is extremely bad. Not even 4 months in with riding in the pnw winter which is very easy on tires with all the wet soil and mud. Within 2 months the side knobs were cracking and splitting and after 3 they look ready to tear off the tire.

good quality tire
tire is good quality but care must be taken to keep tire centered on the rim when you add air

Best combo
This in the front matched with trail boss 2.4 in the back is a winning combo! Super fast rolling compared to maxxis dhf and maxxis agressor

Llanta WTB 29" Mod. Vigilant 2.6 Tubeless
Es una excelente llanta para el descenso, sin embargo de fabricación la cubierta viene ovalada, complica al momento de centrar la llanta.
