You would probably want to go with steel resistance wire. However again you will need to research the resistance you will need in the oven and then see how much wire and what gauge is needed Ohm's Law again. **Q: Can this wire fire to cone 6-10?** A: I use it for torchwork. It gets to about 1200 degrees in the flame. Don't know what temp cone 6-10 is. **Q: Wil this wire work as a foam cutter with my 30v/10a dc power supply?** A: I have a similar power supply, and it is more than enough. I use about 4.5V and maybe 4-6a to heat about 16" of wire. Your settings will vary depending on the length of wire you are trying to heat. Start off with lower settings, and gradually raise them so you don't burn the wire in half.
