She is 4' 11" in height. This makes it difficult for her to find a decent fit with a quality E-Bike. We managed to find the closest fit, then we needed to make some modifications to accommodate her relatively small frame. That is where this bike stem comes into the story. Last year, I purchased one for my E-Bike to allow me to sit a bit more upright. It worked for me, so we measured her stem and handlebars, then selected the longest unit with those measurements. I am a firm believer that the few poor reviews are from individuals who failed in one or more of these following things to keep in mind: 1. The material is aluminum, therefore softer than steel and needs to be treated as such. That does not imply it is junk. I found it to be very good quality. You just need to pay attention to not cross the threads and properly torque the allen screws in the correct order without bottoming out any before starting the others. That will help prevent crossed threads. If you do manage to cross the threads, you have drastically reduced the reliability of this stem. 2. The measurements are absolutely critical. You must get the exact size for your bike. If you fail in this step, it will not be compatible with your bike. 3. Do NOT try to adjust the angle between the detents. Select an angle that is exactly one detent or another. Trying to fine tune it in between, will be detrimental to your goal and cause damage to the part. 4. Take your time, and adjust everything for the correct fit before final tightening. There are only two sizes of allen wrenches required, and both come with the kit. Maybe the tools are not the highest "tool-truck" quality, but they will certainly suffice for this job. If you do not feel comfortable working a couple of hand tools, then it should not be a problem to find a handy neighbor or friend to do the job in return for an adult beverage. I took my time and did this in a poorly lit and heated garage, but even then it only took about 20 minutes. Once you have successfully gotten this installed, you will find it has great stability and is quite solidly built. It grips the fork and handle bars tightly and my wife is very happy with the final fit and appearance. I see no reason to give this less than the full five stars. If anything should happen to change my opinion, I will return to update this review accordingly. Review: Like it. - Seems good and sturdy. No issues on bike. Able to adjust handle bar height easily.

Worth every penny. I am much more comfortable riding. It fit perfectly and was easy to install.

Works very well, note the sizing.
Worked perfectly on my Marin mountain bike. Would highly recommend. NOTE** Although the title says 25.4 AND 31.8, it will not fit both (it's the size of your handlebars). You need to measure and pick one, then pick the length. If I had three bikes, I'd have three of these.

Gives you a whole bunch of degree options
My new hardtail came with a very short steerer stem, I think maybe 90mm? And I felt like my hands were underneath me when I was riding. Didn't like that at all. This stem is 120mm long and I can change the arm degree up to something like 60+ degrees. I think I have it set to around 10 degrees currently. Just loosen the allen set screw, put the stem at the desired angle, and then tighten the set screw. My only concern is how well the stem will hold up if I end up throwing my weight to the front of the bike and coming down hard on the handlebars (endo). Hopefully that won't happen but I'm wondering if the stem will let go/break if it does. Very easy to install and it's built well. I'll do a follow up review after I've put a few hundred miles into the bike.

Easy to install and satisfied overall. However something really annoying is that it has a creaking sound. Seem to be when either side of the handlebar is pushed down. Dont know if its the screws or something else making this but.
